  1. Update: my labs were all normal I'm at a slight risk for diabetes, but all of my other labs were normal. My ekg and chest xray were all normal. The ultrasound of my legs was normal as well no blood clots. So now I go for my upper GI swallow on may 11 and I do my sleep study on June 27th

  2. I went for my consultation with my surgeon Dr. Gary Korus at Penn Medicine in Philadelphia Pennsylvania went ok here are some stats about me:

    Height: 5ft 9 inches

    Weight:325.8

    The appointment consisted of a medical history, I got my height and weight taken, I met with the nurse practitioner, then the dietitian and she gave me a booklet about how to measure food intake and how much is a good amount to eat. I also got some of my tests done today I got my lab work done, an ekg done, and a xray of my chest done. I have to get sn ultrasound of my veins in my legs on May 4th. My psychological appointment has already been scheduled for July 20th. . now all I have to do is a sleep study and a abdominal ultrasound and do the last two weight management classes and I should be all set my surgeon told me that if I get all my testing done I should be getting surgery in the beginning of August CAN'T WAIT

  5. I attended a educational seminar on bariatric surgery first step on 4/16, and my first appointment is on May 2nd I'm nervous but excited to start my new journey. Alot of people are against me having surgery saying I'm going to regret it and just eat less exercise but I've been dealing with weight since I was a little kid until now (I'm 22 and weigh 330 pounds) I've tried diets, met with nutritionist, even tried to starve myself . Qnyone whose never had a weight problem will never understand how hard this is.
