  1. Wow she's a r*****! Tell her to shut the hell up and get some work done

Your use of the word "retard" is highly offensive. As a host of this forum, I will ask that you please refrain from using such slurs in the future. Thank you.

How is it offensive? I feel the behavior of this persons co-worker is not only wrong to her but also "offensive" to anyone that has had this surgery. The words "ignorant" and "stupid" have been used to describe how people feel so how is that any different? There was no intentional harm meant. I've seen way worse said on this forum so pls don't signal me out......

  2. I have made the decision after years of being overweight to have the sleeve, I'm 29, 5'4", and 245 (highest 270). My best friend, who is also severely over weight, is totally against surgery. She says people all look like big wrinkly messes after because of the skin, they gain the weight back and it's the easy way out. I disagree with all of this and know it's the best decision for me and my family.... I want to tell her I'm going through with it and have her be supportative but I don't know how, any suggestions??

Ur going to experience negativity but try not to take it personally, that's what they want. The negativity is in hopes that u will change ur mind bcuz they are jealous or just too afraid to do what u decided to do which is take back ur health and life. This happened to me and I'm sure many other people on this forum can agree. Stay strong, stand by ur decision and be OK with the fact that everyone is not going to support u the way u wish they would. Cherish the people in ur life that have genuine support and rock out! Once she sees ur success she's gonna jump on the bandwagon...... Good luck to u!

  3. So I have always said I was 5'4 ..."on a good day" but I decided I really wanted to know exactly how I am am...or am NOT! Lol

    So I had my partner measure me......I'm 5'2 3/4..... not even 5'3...

Lol guess my BMI is a tad higher than I thought....anyone else not sure exactly how tall they are ??

That happened to me at my consultation! I've been saying I'm 5'6 for years and found out I'm only 5'4 EVEN????

  4. I was told to only worry about fluids and Proteins and not calories. Eat very small portions (2-3 ozs.) even if you think you have more room. Protein shakes can be considered a meal on my plan too. Add Protein powder to fluids instead of eating more food if you don't want to eat. Hang in there!

Thank u! I think I'm trying too hard and over thinking it at times. I just want to do everything perfectly lol I know that sounds stupid
