Don't give up, find a local weight watchers meeting . I went twice a week when I had my lap band 10 years ago. The support from the other people as well as the accountability of getting weighed made me work harder. At the beginning you can just sit and listen , eventually you will talk. Do not have to tell anyone you had surgery if you don't choose to. No one will ask. It is just a room full of people trying to lose weight

I'm 51 and having surgery on the April 27th....excited and terrified . Revision band to bypass. I was feeling like I was too old to start all over but this group gives me hope

I constantly run into Sleevers in their 50s and 60s but I would love to get to know some of you who are bypassers. Seems our life experiences and potential difficulties may make us good support for each other! (You know, little things like menopause, arthritis, etc...). Please come out of "hiding" and gather here. I need to see yall in action! And would love to support you as well!
