  1. I will resume drinking coffee once I'm a month out, but I just won't sacrifice half and half for milk. just can't do it.......
  2. I'm 4 days out and able to drink some cream of mushroom Soup. I sip slowly, but I have no problems drinking it. Is it too soon for me? Anyone else move this quickly? I feel hungry today for the first time. I am drinking my Protein shakes and Water as prescribed. opinions?
  3. What kind of smoothie are you drinking that contains 40G of protein? I'd like to try that
  4. Sleeved 2/25. So far I feel pretty good. I'm pretty much off pain meds and getting out a bit. Today, I have been fighting diareha, presumably because I have been taking a stool softener since day 1. I'm tired, and I haven't been tracking my Water intake. Today, I switched from Clear Liquids to broth and shakes. I had three so far (7;00pm) and I'll have one more. I was also able to get about a cup of strained chicken Soup down. From what I am reading, I'd say I'm doing very well. I hope everyone is well Cheers
  5. Had my surgery 2/25. So far my readings have all been below 150 and dropping. I read 133 today, so I took a half dose. I think it takes a few weeks for your body to adjust. Hang in there
  6. I have no opinion on Taurus lades unscientific studies except to say that they are not scientific. That said, if anyone thinks things like margarine substitute, one molecule away from plastic or artificial sweeteners are better for you than butter or sugar, you're sadly mistaken. Studies have shown what Taurus lady has stated. I avoid them like the plague.
  7. I've been saying this since the 80's.Artiical anything is not good for you. Artificial sweeteners have been proven to cause cancer in lab rats. I'm eating sugar free pops for now, because that's what my post op instructions say, but once I'm back on real food, I will throw them out
  8. I was successfully sleeved Wednesday, 2/25! Surgery went well, no complications, but I'm in a fair amount of pain. No worries though, a TBSP of pain meds and I'm all good again. They sent me home the next day, and I'm sipping Water. I think I have gas pain, which I have heard about in these forums. Anyway, I'm looking forward to a lifetime of looking and felling better. At 59, I didn't want to enter the golden years with weight complications

  10. I was told 10 days, so it should be fine. I cheated a little today and ate some cheese and an egg. Where are you having it done? I'm also scheduled for the 25th.
  11. Thanks for the answers. Can any veterans weigh in also?
  12. Hi everyone, My surgery date is Tuesday, 2/25. I am on day 5 of the pre-op liquid diet and the constant hunger is terrible. I'm eating a lot of soup/broth, several shakes a day and of course Water. Will this hunger continue post op? If so how long? Thanks in advance
  13. I refuse to give up the caffeine. 1 cup of coffee per day for me. I'm finished with day 4 and I have constant hunger. I'm holding on for dear life, lol. 7 days till surgery
  14. I was instructed to have 6 small meals a day.
  15. Day 4 here. Some hunger, but for the most part, I'm ok
  16. What pain meds did they give you? My surgeon is prescribing liquid Oxycodone
  17. From what other sleevers have stated I was under the impression that you can eat most of what you want, but because of the restriction much less of it. Is this all wrong?
  18. Starting mine tomorrow. My PA tells me I can have salad and non starchy vegetables. Guess I'll make a trip to the grocery store. The protein shakes don;t fill me up at all
  19. Can you take advil during this stage?
  20. how do i put a body weight tracker on?
  21. I finally got date today, after being approved by Aetna December 8. Now the clocks start ticking. Doctor said two - four days in the hospital and then home. Any advice from you veterans?
