Once you get approved it’s usually with in two months you have surgery.. my dr said 6-8 weeks from the last visit but it’s already been almost 4 and I don’t have a date yet:/

Wow your doing awesome! I had my first dr visit 3/28 and then had my psych eval 4/4 and EGD on 4/11 now I am just waiting on the office ladies to send all my stuff for insurance and then I get a date which is killing me not to know! Lol I’m trying not to drive them crazy . I still have a few things to check off yet but it all hinges on when my date will be since it has to be with in a few weeks of surgery:/ I am hoping for June but who knows at this point. Good Luck with all your stuff! I hope it keeps moving along for you!! Oh I almost forgot I am getting the sleeve too:)

Congrats!!! I have the same insurance .. hubbie is a teamster too and I am dying to know lol I might have to call and bug them ... so excited for you and congrats on your son graduating !!

I’m just throwing my two cents out there hun.. I am in the beginning stages AGAIN with doing vsg...I chickened our last year and I really regret it! I don’t go for my first consultation till the end of the month and I wish I was in your spot ready to join the losers bench. This life is hard and like you my family is against it but I need to do this for me for my health and my life so I completely understand how your feeling and we are all here for you. I have faith this will all work out and you will do amazingly! Hugs hun and I wish you amazing luck:)

Hi! I just looked into and filled out the form for BariatricPal MX and got the email for approval! Eek! I am so excited but I was curious how much was the deposit you had to put down to hold your date and how do you pay? Credit card over the phone or once you get there? I know I need to call them for all this but my husband is really nervous about me going out of country for this surgery so I was trying to see how everyone else did it and show him that it's a great place and safe:) Thanks everyone in adjacent for advice and I wish everyone a ton of lucky in this crazy amazing journey!!! Hi! Was wondering if anyone has used or is going to use Dr Pleatman in MI.. does he take insurance? All I can find online is about self pay. Did you like him? I have BCBS of Illinois which covers vsg . If you did use him how was the process and how long? Thanks everyone!!

Hi! I'm in Michigan too.. I have met with my surgeon and have my first NUT visit 2/10... I am hoping for a surgery date of May since the place I am going requires 3 month NUT visits even though insurance doesn't lol but I'll be happy to get all the information I can.... would love some friends too on this journey! I have BCBS of IL and live in MI but going to Toledo OH for surgery since they are the closest Blue excellence hospital and the only one out of three to contact me lol .. we don't have a 6 month wait but hopefully it's not a long wait till surgery... it all depends on the Dr I think ...
