I slept sitting up for two months after surgery. It's normal. Just go with it and you will soon be back to normal.

Do you measure all your meals in a cup? I never know what I should be eating... Doctors say I'm losing too quickly and to maintain my weight but I hardly eat so it's hard.I had RNY gastric bypass surgery 3 years ago. One thing to do now at this stage is to assess your Protein intake. Your Protein requirement is met by a combination of the protein from your meals combined with the protein from your supplements (protein shakes, protein bars). Since your meal volume is beginning to increase, that also means that the amount of protein from meals is increasing, especially if you concentrate on consuming high protein meals. Therefore you could be able to reduce your reliance on supplements and the calories they contain. I went from 3 Protein Shakes a day, down to 2, then 1 and finally zero when my meal volume increased to 1 cup per meal at a year and a half. This helped to break my stalls.

No I'm finding it hard to keep food down. And I hardly drink anything. My trouble is I don't know what to eat because I throw up a lot....

Wow you look fantastic!!! Can I ask with all the exercise are you tonned totally or do you sagging anywhere? I am 7 weeks post op and have lost 31lbs but everything is very wobbly and I'm worried I won't be able to tone it?!

Thank you everyone for your advice, what I have eaten so far is... Toast with hummus and ham or omelette with ham in it or mini shepherd's pie I have a very basic diet as I am just clueless as to what I can have with a bit of fish or chicken or red meat? Can I cook it with sauces or not? It's all very vague if you know what I mean...

Soft food as in mashed not pureed. So it's not soft soft. I've had toast.

Hi Everyone
I'm 7weeks post op and have moved onto soft foods, so far I've managed a slice of toast with ham. Does anyone know if I can have salad at this stage? Really struggle with what food to eat....

I'm the same, so scared to eat too much, did you puree your egg or just mash it?

Did a liver shrinkage diet two weeks before and a bowel prep. All the best for tomorrow. Hope it goes according to plan.
