  2. see your dr. obtain ultrasound of gallbladder, take all the Fluid out of band and do a ariu swallow now. these studies should address the problem. but do not delay, the sooner the better is there is a slip as this may be able to be corrected without removing the band. do you hurt post food? If you hurt all the time as you describe one should always check on the integrity of the band.

  3. there are 4,9,10,14cc vol bands now, have the surgeons office explain to you what size fll vol you have. the larger bands have a higher vol. to obtain to reach the sweet spot. Be patient and qork with the fill person and see them every week until it is right. The fill center should have a policy of returnat no charge in a week if fil is not adequate, i know that we do that for all of our patients.

  4. Hello, May I make a suggestion re your frustraation with restriction? Make sure with the surgeons office exactly what your fill volume is. Next have the fill person put in some renograffin under fluro to absolutly rule out a leak. Now some folks take 4.5cc to obtain restriction but this is very unusual.

  5. Can anyone help me? I had my surgery in early Dec and STILL can't find a Dr. to do fills. I live in upstate NY and I have an Inamed band. I am really frustrated...I need a fill. I didn't come this far to be stopped by this. I'm getting defeated. New York city is a long trip and I was hoping to sind someone in the upstate area. Please......someone...give me a lead!:(

Call Stephany Casey at Dr.Benavides office in Dallas , they may be able to find a Dr.or call the ASBS (american society of bariatric and metabolic surgeons.)

  6. Sounds as though you are having a rough time of it, really there is no need for all of that. I have been doing fills for several years and yes I would agree with you < take fill volume out and observe for a few days> also make sure you do not have the flu etc>

Our fill center is reached at Texaslapband fillcenter.com. We are down the road from Mease at College Station . Would be glad to see and advise if you wish.

  7. Aself fill is not a good idea because of potential complications , i.e. infection that will migrate internally and can be life threatening. Also you may puncture the joining tube and require replacement of the port. The two infections I have seen last year in consultation were burdened with three surgeries and subsequent loss of the port not to mention the resulting scarring.
