How did your last adjustment go? I know what you mean though...i thought i'd be WAY dawn or have tons of restriction, but i need to remember that 1. I havent been able to lose in YEARS so all WL is good...and 2. With a slower loss, the skin looks better! Plus, most people lose about 30% of their weight in the first year and then a BIGGER chunk in their second year post op....looking forward to that now that i just passed 1 yr post op

And YES I"M CRUISING!!!!!!!!!! My fingers are crossed for you to get on!

No i don't mind questions at all! It's so surreal to be on THIS side of the questions...when I so clearly remember waiting and waiting and waiting for the surgery...

I love these boards and they've been so helpful! I do go back and forth with them...

I have to tell you, i really thought that at a year post op, i would be down like 100lbs...and it almost made me disappointed until i realized that i HAVE lost a lot and inches count! We just always want to see the scale move so fast.

girl I understand more than probably anyone...I'm a makeup artist and my mom's a hairstylist...so from watching her for 30 years (and taking a hairstyling course during makeup school) I'm the one who does and/or helps people with their own hair...so I GET IT! And my hair has always been my savior...no matter how big i was, i ALWAYS was the girl with the perfect, shiny, healthy hair that people were jealous of....so having it thin out freaked the shit out of me!

The Nioxin has made such a HUGE difference already...i'd say it's about 80% less that comes out during my shower now...that's huge! Plus because the supplements are amazing, my skin hasn't looked this good in a LOOOOOONG time...definately get them! I have to say that I will probably try the ones that Nioxin sells after I run out of the Phyto....just to compare them....

I totally understand! My hair started thinning when I was 24 (let me start by saying that i used to have ridiculously think hair...almost unmanagable) and i FREAKED....started again these past few weeks since surgery, and i mean A LOT....but it just means that i need to take better vitamins, EAT PROTEIN, and I am using NIOXIN shampoo, conditioner, and scalp treatment. You can find it at places like Trade Secret or any beauty retailer like that....if you know anyone who's a nail tech or hairstylist, have them go to Cosmo Prof (aka Loffler's) and get it at a discount. IT WORKS! And take either prenatal vitamins or the vitamins from PHYTO....you can get it at Sephora and they're basically the same as prenatal vitamins only directed more towards hair/skin....it WILL help!

fingers crossed for you to get a date soon! Once it finally happens, it's almost unreal...sometimes i literally stop in my tracks and think "i can't believe i finally have it..i'm banded"....

thanks! I've been working at it but feel like i can definately work harder...but its nice to actually SEE a difference in pictures! Are you banded yet?

oh yeah, i totally had to do the liquid diet. 5 days pre-op of all liquids..AND it was over the 4th of July weekend! Oh yes...lol I actually was half on it for 2 weeks beforehand..my choice. I still had to lose 18 pounds or he wouldn't do surgery...so i ate one small meal and drank Carnation Instant Breakfast 2x/day..and it worked! (well i also did my 20 minute tae bo video every day too)....

Keep us posted on the actual date! I will say this and it's a bit graphic..even though you DON"T have to do the liquid diet, i would do it the day before surgery...the worst thing would be for you to vomit after surgery becaus the band has to heal, and with the anesthesia you just might...at least if you do all liquids the day before, there will be NOTHING in your stomach ..i know it sounds graphic, but i am thankful for it because i was so nauseas and if ANYTHING was in my stomach it would have come out on the nurse's heads (long story...lol)

needle was the same as the pic...and it wasn't bad at all! Can't quite bring myself to say that it hurt..because it didn't. It was a little uncomfortable and pinched for a minute, but that was it!

So now I have 5cc's in a 14cc band...

that's awesome! To NOT finish a 6in....sweet....i could probably eat a whole footlong at this point...which is why i'm excited for thursday!

Did you have the lidocane shot beforehand?

Thanks for putting up the pics of your first fill! You had your surgery 3 days after me! My first fill is in 2 weeks...a little nervous since i'm not a big needle fan..but i know it will be SO worth it.

How have you done so far? Have you been getting hungry before the fill today? And how do you feel now?
