Thank you thank you thank you!! My hubby and I were looking through our CDs for the song (do you find yourself wanting to hear the songs after they've been on the show???) but we were looking in the wrong section!! Gonna go get my Vertical Horizon CD out of my Christian Rock box and flip it in the ole player this morning!!! Thanks thanks thanks again!! ~cheri

Believe it or not, guys, my favorite was Bucky - he didn't even do a true country song. I have that song on a CD (three doors down or someone of that nature, can't be sure) and it was just on the radio a few years back. Chris sounded terrific, as did Elliott and Kathrine (but I couldn't understand her). Ace,Paris, and Mandisa were okay. Kelli definitely fit her song (did you know that Fancy was an, um, "entertainer" of sorts? Taylor, we miss you. I like John Denver, too, but that was so boring! He said in an interview that he would do Alabama if they had a country theme - what happened? He should have done Ray Charles' Georgia (did you know it was a country hit?) Well, I didn't vote last night, so I guess we'll see how it goes! I have a feeling that Ace is going home, but he did pretty well last night! ~cheri

Hey, girls! Thanks for the advice (and the kick in the pants - much needed and much appreciated!!) I'm sorry I'm so dad-gum stubborn! (Must be my capricorn instincts!!!) I think I am doing LOADS better now! I have been doing mostly liquids with some mushies thrown in for good measure. Yesterday, I had my hot cocoa Protein (same as my shake - unjury unflavored, sugar-free chocolate syrup, and 1 cup skim milk - but so warm and soothing) for b'fast. Cream of chicken Soup and a yogurt smoothie (dannon's Carb and Sugar Control strawberry cream is awesome - only 60 calories and 4 g carbs!!) for lunch. For a snack, One ounce of almonds (2 by 2 - not a whole handful at once for a change) well chewed before the next ones went in. BUT - at dinner, I had to try spaghetti. :decision:(Out Out, Evil Stubborn Mule!!!) Well, I guess ms. band wasn't ready yet, so I partly pureed some, and could only eat a bit before I was FULL!!! I never thought I would feel that sensation again!! I was hungry a little later, so I had a nutrition bar (Luna lemon bars are a refreshing treat for me) - it went in just fine, but I had to leave the last few bites!!! I think it's all good! Let me know what you think. I'm still unable to eat true solids, but it sounds like most successful bandsters don't try to eat lots of big solid foods??? I want to make sure I am not messing things up in there! Off topic - wow! Look at those new avatars - you girls are looking hot, hot, hot!!! If this sounds like a commrecial for foods, I guess it is!! I like to share with everyone when I find something tasty and hutritious!!! Love you girls!! ~cheri

I know that there are probably about a thousand threads about this, but I am too tired and lazy to seek them out! Here's the deal...I get sick everytime I eat. period. Everything that I put in comes back to visit. I am experiencing a butt-load of PB hell! I can drink okay, eat very soft foods (like taters and pureed foods), but everything else is totally off-limits! Here's the symptoms...as soon as I swallow I know whether or not it is going to revisit. I get the golf ball I have heard so much about, but it hurts like someone is stretching my ribcage!! I try to walk it off, stretch it past, everything, but it always comes back. This is happening Every time I eat!!! Here's my question for y'all...is it that my band is too tight (2.0 in a 10 cc band), or is this the sweet spot that you all fondly refer to? I have gone down four pounds since Thursday (not that I'm complaining about that), and I am a little worried that I am not getting in enough nutrition!! I can't just go for an unfill (work, work), and I truly don't think that I am too tight. I was having this problem for about a week before my fill, so the NP prescribed me nexium and carafate. Help, I feel like a boa constrictor!!! Thanks ahead of time!! ~cheri
-
Well, well, well, I guess I really didn't want to hear what I've heard from you guys!!! :blah: (haha) I tried warming my protein shake this AM, went down smooth as silk! :spit:A little later, I tried to eat my famous (NOT!) egg and cheese burrito :hungry: - and 2 bites in, I'm empty-stomached:puke:!!! See, I read the advice you gave me, Alexandra, but I am so stubborn, I always have to try one more time!! Well, liquid-ville here I come:tea:. If I don't feel like it is better in a few days, I will call Doc about some relief (aka. unfill)! I can't imagine being overfilled with 2 cc in a 10 cc band, but who knows?!?!?!!?:loco:

You are by far the most thoughtful bandster around!!!! I just love ya!!! Hugs from me      ~cheri By the way, Thanks for reminding me that I have just lost another hour of beddy-bye:notagree time!!!! LOL

Good luck! Prayers are coming your way!!!

Next week is definitely country! (Just so you know, my hubby is a web freak, and he gets all of the dish from his various sources!!! He is on so many internet gossip lists, it's starting to scare me!!!!!!) Kelli is 19, so it's a naughty little homewrecker as far as I'm concerned!! I can't blame her for being hot for him, but she has to realize that not everyone is HOT FOR HER!!!! I was sad to see Lisa go, because she is definitely talented. She is just too young right now, she will be a singer someday (anyone else feel a broadway vibe from her?) Okay, country - Bucky and Kelli will have a blast, and both will probably get another week out of idol! (please, everyone wake up and send that girl home!!!) I am wondering about Mandisa and Chris - will they choose non-country arrangements like they have in the past? Katherine should do fine - I bet she steps her game way up!!! Paris will have fun with this! Elliott will be boring again, but sound good doing it! Ace, who knows? I think he needs to be on a billboard or soap, but not idol (I still think he's a hottie - Mchot hot!!!) Taylor will surprise everyone - since I know what he is doing, I will let y'all enjoy the show!!!! hehehe 'til next show!!! ~cheri

Hey guys and gals!! I have decided to organize our list a little better! Unfortunately, to do this, I had to lose some updates on you guys (and my favorite reply from the dear Delarla) But, I really think this list is easier to read (and add new names to!!! ) Hope y'all like it!! Hey guys! Well, last night didn't have me jumping up and down, and by the looks of it, none of you were either (no post-show posts?!) I really think Lisa is going tonight. Chris and Mandisa sounded like a live concert (that is a good thing, but not for American Idol season)! I loved Taylor, but I miss his excitement! Paris sounded great, but I didn't like the Beyonce impersonation. Kelli - boo hiss!! Bucky was good, in his groove. Katherine sounded exquisite, I just have a hard time remembering her. Ace picked the WRONG song - nobody does Train like Train!!!! Elliott was definitely my favorite this week! He twisted that song around and had my kids boogying their pants off! Well, what did y'all think???? ~cheri
-
Wow! You look terrific! I hear it takes about 6 weeks for full recovery - I can only imagine how awesome you will look since you look so good already!! Way to go, sister!!!!! How are the scars? I am definitely going to need inner thigh and belly work (boobs? - they're at my waist, but insurance won't cover boobs!!), but I am afraid of more scars... my lap incisions have keloided, and they are SOO ugly!! Take care and be healthy! ~cheri

Hi guys! Down 35 and two fills. I'm getting #3 today, boy I sure hope it works! If any of you work and have little ones, how do you get your exercise in? I have only exercised a handful of times since returning to work. I am absolutwly wiped out from the moment I get out of bed until I have the pleasure of crawling back into bed. Forget cooking and cleaning, or any other necessary evil! Help!!!!!! ~cheri
-
Hey! PM'ed ya 'bout my missing bunny. Any sign of it?? Let me know when you get a chance! ~cheri

My sources say that the genre for next week will be . . . songs of the twenty-first century. That is, any song from 2000-2006. Wow, could they narrow it down a little for us? We will definitely get some serious entertainment this week, folks! Chris will blow the house down (Howl, you naughty wolf!!) - this will definitely be his week, although I think every week has been HIS week! Ace should try some Justin Timberlake (I know, I know, but he's got the voice for it!!) Bucky will probably do something patriotic (i.e. post-911??) Kelli will belt out some Martina or Faith (go home, already) Taylor and Mandisa- hmmm, they always surprise and entertain me Paris, Lisa, and Kathrine will be out of their comfort zone IMHO - Paris does the classics (40's type sound) best, Lisa is a broadway-type performer, and Kathrine is too sultry for current sounds (I see her and I think "Black Velvet", you know 80's 90's rocker girl sound?) can you imagine her singing Gwen Stefani?!?! I have no idea what Elliott will do, but he will sound great doing it!! Well, 'til next week then! ~cheri (NOT a ballsy naughty little minx!)
-
Hey, if he's interested in that, I'd be glad to help him out a little!!!! DID I JUST SAY THAT OUT LOUD!?!?!?!?!?hehehe Something has to be wrong with him, no man is that perfect...he probably has bitty weenie!!
-
Hey Paula~ How you doing this week? You've been on my mind a lot lately...everytime I think of American Idol (and Ace's sweet muscular shoulders and ...oh, my, there I go again!!!) Four weeks, not a pound lost for me, guess it's time for a fill! How bout you? Got that cheating, stinking, rotten, good-for-nothing monkey off your back?? :focus: Okay, Kevin did a good job last night, but he still is not EVEN CLOSE to the others. I would possibly cast him in a high school musical, but no record deals, please(seriously)!! He needs to go home - I don't want to spend all of the money on Idol Concert tickets to see him - sorry, but it's true!! I think Lisa is going home tonight. She is a great singer, but I don't feel her stage presence. Maybe in a few years... Chris (once again) blew me away!!!! He could release "I Walk the Line" tomorrow and it would be on the charts by Monday!!!! Taylor was enjoyable, but I missed his craziness!!! He definitely took the easy route, he could have done great things in the 50's genre!!! Mandisa is the BOMB!! She could have done anyone else's song last night and run them off the stage (IMHO)!! She's there for the long haul!!! I'm actually liking Bucky more and more each week...hope he sticks around for a while longer!! Kelli did a good job on her (did I call it or what?!?!) Patsy Cline song. I love Elliott, Paris, and Kathrine. Their voices are all wonderful, but I seem to forget about them after the show is over (that's weird, isn't it?) And Ace is pretty (oh, my Ace, my PRECIOUS beanie boy!!), he could do Pop, but he's not versatile enough for Idol (did I mention how pretty he is?!?!?) So, who's going home in your opinion??? See ya tomorrow!!!! ~cheri
-
Don't you mean "your baby daddy"? hehehe I told my husband that I would have to get his permission if Ace showed up on my doorstep, he said no problem, but he gets to sell the videos!!! haha SICKO!!
-
Amy ~ I've got your daughter as my daughter's prayer buddy. She likes to pick someone new to pray for (she's 8) when her prayers have been answered. Her last prayer buddy finally got home from the hospital last week, so let's see how quickly she can get your little one back home to you!!!! ((((((((((HUGS for Mama, too!!)))))))) ~cheri

Warning~~~~This one is kinda creepy. My grandma was as crazy as a loon and EXTREMELY religious (you know what I mean). Well, when I was about 4 or so, she came to visit us and roomed with me. Every night before bed, she would close the window and blinds...finally I asked her why she did that. She said that if you leave your blinds open the devil will watch you sleep and if the window is open he will come in and take your soul!!!! Talk about a messed-up childhood!!!! But, yes, I still have to have the windows down and curtains closed!!! Maybe some therapy would be useful????
-
I would sing for you, but I like you, so I won't!!!! hehehe Happy Birthday, Pretty Lady!!!
-
Mine, too, Nykee! We are not getting along right now! Maybe I'll call it something nice someday, but right now, it's called AL Bundy (worthless no good couch potato!!!) What do you think of Scrunchy? That could be good or bad, depending on the day!? Anything to help our relationship become more symbiotic works for me (I have been at the same weight for three weeks...again!!)
-
Next week is 50's week. Can't see anyone having a rough time next week, lots of music history from the 50's. I see some old school country from Kelli and Bucky, old-timey love songs from Elliott, Ace, and (UGH)Kevin, blues from Taylor and Paris. Kathrine, Lisa, and Mandisa will surely pull out some amazing standard from the period. Which leaves Chris - hmmmm. I am sure he will find a way to make it his whatever he chooses (maybe some early Elvis?) Guess we'll have to wait 'til Tuesday! ~cheri
-
Oh, and thanks to Disney Channel's Raven, I say "SNAP" for most of my expletives now! But it's hard to get on my 8 year old for using it since I am doing so!! Now, everytime I say it, she says "ohhh, mom you just cussed!!" Can't get awway with anything around her!!!
-
How about "horse-feathers"? My grandma used to use it everytime she was frustrated...so visiting her was like "good morning...oh, horsefeathers...would you like some scrambled(horsefeathers)eggs for Breakfast? Here, you can put the (horsefeathers) plates on the (horsefeathers) table. Ah, horsefeathers, forget it!! Get your clothes on, we're going to McDonalds for horsefeathers breakfast!!" She was just a wee bit unstable!!!!

Yay!!! You are so welcome!!! Now, if I can just get motivated to start tracking again (started back to work after 4 years off to take care of my boys!!) ~cheri
