@@nakole73 I'm getting sleeved 8/10 also. I'm very nervous but also so excited. I am ready to do this. I'm trying to get the house clean & get rid of all the bad food in the pantry & start getting all the liquid/protein supplies... Let's keep in touch!

I've had Mirena for 1 year, never been pregnant. I thought it was horrible pain, worse than any menstrual cramps I'd ever had. That being said, it hurt for about 5 minutes, then I was just sore for the rest of the day. I haven't had a period since so I think it was totally worth the pain!! I also sucked at taking the pill.

I'm in Tucson and have started the process to get approved through BCBS Federal. I'm seeing Dr. Monash. I will hopefully jump through all the hoops for approval in July 2016.

I'm on the same timeline as you also! I had my initial consult on 3/25. My insurance requires nutrition classes & Med supervised weight loss for 90 days, which I started on 4/5. I hope to be approved in early July.
An aunt of mine had gastric bypass & I was amazed by her transformation. She has been very open about her process but I'm really shy to tell anyone about this. I'm in my early 30s and worry that people will think I'm being lazy or taking the easy way out because I'm so young. That being said, I'm determined to do this and feel a lot of hope about the future.
