I'm 6 months post op and so far I've only been ordering an appetizer that has some type of Protein. Haven't ventured out to a full meal yet.

September 21 was my 6 month anniversary. All blood work levels are normal. Cholesterol, thyroid, Vitamin D, Iron, sugar and high blood pressure is normal. Dropped 112 pounds. Eating 80-90 grams of Protein a day. Walk about 2 miles a day. In the words of James Brown. I FEEL GOOD!

I didn't know that about the Iron and Calcium time frame. I take it within 15-20 minutes of each other.

I have more of a sexual appetite than I ever did before. Being on all the meds I was on made it worse. Now it's alot better and I'm enjoying my life alot more. Especially now that I'm single and dropped over 100 pounds. ????????????????????

From what I read online about dumping syndrome. It did hit me about an hour later. I was in so much pain driving home. My mouth had that watery feeling from getting ready to vomit, which I didn't. It wasn't a pleasant feeling that's for sure. That was my first cheesesteak and fair food since my surgey. Good thing I didn't go for the fried veggies. Lol

I'm 5 months out and have been careful with what I've been eating. Decided to head to the fair last night. Haven't been to one in a few years. Ate a cheesesteak minus the bread, sauce, onions and peppers. 60 minutes later. Let's leave it at that. Then a few hours later. Whoa! Definitely not a good feeling at all!

Best decision I ever made! I'm 5 months out and have had no complications or regrets and lost 106 pounds. You definitely need to be prepared. The 6 month program I was in before the surgery really helped me understand exactly what I was getting myself into. You'll be fine.

I took omeprazole for 3 months. Weened myself off of it per Doctors orders. Only take it when needed. Carry a pill with me at all times.

Pre op was hard. 2 weeks of following the plan to the T. Lost 16 pounds pre op. I walk alot. I started working out today as a matter of fact. Elliptical and free weights. I'm using a gym in my building. It's free for employees. So I don't have a trainer but they do have posters all around of different exercises. I eat alot of yogurt, Turkey burgers, and Protein bars. I can pretty much eat anything but those are my favorite. Once I have my 6 month follow up I will definitely try other foods. Oh and I like eating Cereal with no milk. Make sure you stick with your plan that your doctor give you. Good luck

Was planning on going back a week after surgery but my surgeon said it was too soon and kept me out an extra week. I went back after 2 weeks.

I had my first taste of wine 4 weeks ago. It was a half glass of pinot. Lemme tell you. I was really really buzzed. Lol
Lasted about 30 minutes. Since then I've dabbled in some martinis as well. Didn't get sick but definitely tipsy. If you go out have a dd ready. ????

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I'm 5 months post op and I definitely eat too fast. To the point where it causes pain. I keep telling myself to slow down but haven't yet. Smh! I will get there eventually.

Any tips from you guys out there on how to hide them. I did buy a compression tank top but it's very uncomfortable and makes me look lumpy. I thought about an ace bandage wrapped around the chest area but not sure if that would be wise. Help!

I'm 4 months post op and I'm finding it really hard to eat meat especially chicken. I find the taste to be raw like even though it's fully cooked and seasoned. Anyone else have this problem? Has anyone become a vegetarian because of a problem like this?

Holy crap! 125 oz a day! I can barely get 30-40 oz in a day sometimes less. 64 oz is what I'm supposed to be drinking.
