  1. I just go back and forth. I know I'll keep loosing logically. I know I need a winter jacket because I just donated my old ones because they were too big. I hate over thinking simple or small things. This whole process is so overwhelming even though I know I will end up where I should be.
  2. Currently I am on the boarder line of a large and extra large for a top. My boobs are holding me back. Lol is it Jinxing myself to go with the smaller size in a jacket? It's a great deal like 1/4 of the original price. I guess I'm insecure on this working. I don't know why I get so much anxiety over getting excited over things or looking forward to better things. (hence keeping up with therapy). I'm trying to be frugal too and not buy alot during the dropping weight or I'll go broke. It's a petty problem but I wanted to see your opinions.
  3. Sip sip away. As you heal, it gets easier.
  4. It can take a bit to feel better. Keep going slow and steady. It will get better. I can't say how long for you. Have you tried putting unflavored protien in your water?(if you are alowed) Once I started doing that, I began feeling much better. I use Genepro. Taking the pepcid can help even if you don't feel the acid. Hang in there it will get better
  5. A dress in case you don't tolerate the waist band of your pants. Charger for your phone. Clean undies for day going home. shoes to walk the halls. If you have any meds, bring them. That's it. Time goes fast. You phone and tv will occupy you.
  6. Thank youfor sharing. I go to my Surgeon Tuesday for my 1 month check up. I'm keeping to my plan except yesterday and so far today. I feel like crappie and not eating much as I should. I am looking forward to my anniversary getaway with the hubster next week.
  7. I didn't know that. I'd much rather buy it prepared.
  8. You take the florets and pulse them in a blender until they get to a Rice look/ consistency. Then you can dress it up with spices. Pintrest is my cooking bible lol.
  9. Check with your doctor but I was able to walk 30 minutes even though I didn't want to lol. You have to judge how you feel.
  10. Thank you. I'm sticking with no. I am going to try cauliflower Rice when i get farther along
  11. Unfortunately everyone is different. Do you still have nausea meds? Try taking those before you try and drink or eat I have days I'm good and others that I am struggling like you. I was sleeved 19th of September. If you feel that you are in serious trouble go to the ER, get pumped with fluids. Look for unstable gait, blurred vision, hallucinations, chills, sweats joint pains big muscle aches confusion those could mean bad dehydration or possible infection. I'm not a doctor but this is what I was told. It will get better but don't try to carry on if it is bad.
  12. I would seek professional help from an alcohol treatment program or a therapist who deals with alcohol and bariatric. I've been a family member of alcoholic so it's a prospective of a loved one. In my psych evaluation the doctor said it's not uncommon for people to fall into or back into alcoholism after these types of surgery. Good Luck and I will pray for you to find your peace.
  13. When did you all try to do Rice? Or is that a no-no until you hit goal weight (or forever)? I love Brown rice but I can't find it in my literature from my Surgeon or Nutritionist. (I will ask them when I see them next week)
  14. It's sweet that he is wanting to help so much. You can sit him down and gently talk to him. Tell him how much you appreciate his help and empathy. Then kindly tell him that you are okay and are healing nicely and you will ask for help when you need him.
  15. How does the word "made" get autocorrected to adequate ?
  16. Go on Pintrest, find a low carb high protien frozen concoction to make yourself The act of making something good for you can sometimes help focus on better choices . I was craving bread so I adequate a flour less protien bread.... it sucked horribly. Made a no bake protien "bar" my stomach didn't like the sweetness but the family loved it. I enjoying trying to make new things. Sometimes it works out and sometimes not.
  17. I am curious to hear people's experience. I have fibro. It seems to always be aching somewhere. Most of the time it's tolerable. I wonder if it gets better the more you loose or if fibro is not so directly related to weight. I know not all affected are obese but I'm hoping things get a bit betterish Sent from my SM-G935V using the BariatricPal App

  22. Thank for this cause I had my surgery Tuesday and I'm hating these Protein drinks I got about 15 grams of protein yesterday I will try this Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App I swear by Genepro Unflavored. I put it in my hot tea 3 times a day. 90 grams protien quick and easy. It's not clumpy ( keep temp under 140) no taste no smell. It makes it look milky but I love it. I couldn't drink any powdered or prepared shakes. It caused terrible cramps, diaherra vomiting. Sent from my SM-G935V using the BariatricPal App
