I hate it when people post just to post.....

KC, nobody was forced out initially. Somebody broke some rules, was given a temporary suspension, signed back on under false accounts numerous times to post egregious remarks and then was permanently banned. But thanks for calling my decision-making "poor".... I guess we should totally let members say that other members have sex with dogs and cows.

What is all this about being a "follower" all about? And if you're so positively bent on all your situations being made public, then I'd think you could tell me directly that you are "no f'ing follower - a friend - one that you will probably never have the joy of knowing - (my) loss" instead of asking Alex to tell me.

I'm ok w/ that.:biggrin::frown: Well ya know I try to never give honest answers on here (per your implication), but I'll make an exception just this once. The two sites aren't linked. Unless you're "friends" on fb then nobody will know here what you say there. As for punishment, I guess the only standards are libel & slander (I can never remember which is spoken, and which is written)?

Good news? That's awesome news! Awesome x2!! Will you still have to work w/ the princess? Roofies! I have lots o' them (plz don't ask why). Been awhile since I've heard the term PTF. It made me laugh. Ah the good ol' days. Fantastic! I love cheap "dates". That sucks!! Every evening as I walk into work there are dozens of "flu" pts in the ER. Some wear masks...some don't. Here's hoping my luck holds out. I prefer to think of you as more of a "tramp stamp". What?!? When did I miss this? Ergonomically (sp?) you're expending more energy towards "vertical" motion when you run, and "horizontal" motion when you walk....even a very brisk walk.

Wasn't it Doug Henning that said "Anything is possible in a world of magic"? Or was it some other late 70's hippy magician? I can't remember...

First Lady now requires 26 servants

I guess that's true. I think, though, that the promise of healthcare reform sounded better than the reality.....by that I mean that when candidate Obama said "I will reform healthcare to include everybody".......well, ok, that sounds cool. But when the details such as cost, possible rationing, etc. come out, then some people reconsidered their stance. That's not to say that these people don't want reform (no sane person would dispute the need for reform), but rather the shape of that reform is making up the current debate.

I think that's proof that the majority of Americans like President Obama, they just don't agree with his vision of healthcare reform as it now stands. I guess I don't understand what you were getting at, then. You implied that the assassinations had some sort of political slant. I thought that also implied that the shooters did as well. But if I read it wrong, please elaborate...

Sadly, I think his face was taken over by that huge mole. He had to legally change his name to "Moley McMolester". Yeah, She suffers from "Ellie Mae Clampett Syndrome": Older actresses that still dress like the character they portrayed when younger. I continue to hope that breakthroughs in stem cell research will soon cure "EMCS"

Uh....I meant that you made that particular claim. Did I make that statement in error? You'd think I would get used to this from you. BJean, you are the queen of "just take a look around you" when asked about something. My whole point was that, if I used extremely ultra-right wing propaganda, I could probably find an article that supported my point of view. But that really defeats the purpose.....we should be watching the news with a critical eye. I know, I watch Fox, so I'm brainwashed, or retarted, or racist or......fill in the blank. Wow....I didn't know Sirhan Sirhan was a republican! Scandalous! And I'm pretty sure that Lee Harvey Oswald was a communist, not a conservative. And....let's see....Wasn't it "Manson Family" girl Squeaky Fromme (probably not too conservative if she joined the Manson Family, I'd bet) that tried to kill president Ford? And howz about John Hinckley Jr? Clearly he is idolized by the republican party. See, that's where your arguement breaks down. Anybody willing to murder a government official is crazy. It's not really a left vs. right as much as it is a sane vs. insane thing (IMO). Except that there has been no violence at the tea parties or the townhall conventions (unless you count the pro-healthcare guy that elbowed somebody in the face at the Tucson town hall....but I'm pretty sure you were talking about violence from the right, correct?). I don't believe for a minute that any legitimate politician or news outlet has encouraged people to show up with guns and / or shout people down. In this time of youtube, you should be able to find examples if this is true (I'm at work, so I can't access youtube till I get home). I'll be shocked if you can find one. Here, I agree w/ you 1000%. Ah, it wouldn't be a BJean post without some Fox bashing! But like I said earlier, I think you'd be hard-pressed to find some actual examples of Fox doing anything like you're saying (I know this because I watch Fox pretty regularly). But how does that explain the fact that more people feel like me than like you? I know you don't understand it. I've tried explaining, but you don't want to hear. You'd rather be partisan. Because when Texas enacted tort reform, more doctors moved in state to practice. Why? Because it's cheaper. That's because it's a legitimate difference of opinion. Most of middle America believe that the government cannot provide a meaningful number of long-lasting jobs, because the salary of those people are paid by tax dollars... tax dollars taken from the checks of those that the government employs. It's like those perpetual motion sketches in turn of the century America....they look credible on paper, but it doesn';t work in real life. Some people believe that low taxes are "lost revenue" for the government. Some believe that low taxes encourage people to spend and invest. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle.

Well in both a religious sense (MY religion, at least....are there any other religions? I'll have to check on that) and secular sense the whole point of marriage is mutual support. There are circumstances where the roles may have to get a little flexable.....but the point is the effort. Beth, I'm not all inya affairs, but IMO there is something troubling there. Not that he can't find work to be the financial provider, but that he won't even try. Who is this mystery member (heehee...I said "member"), and where has she been hiding? Um....lil' bit. Not that the underwear is inappropriate, per se, but it's just such an odd item. Other things I think would be odd: Shoelaces, Denture cream, marbles, spackle. Probably you should just sneak over to her house and disassemble her Bevo altar. Sweet early retirement package!! Too bad you can't cut a deal like that, Slim. Aw, that sucks!

    Stop Calling it Socialized Medicine!

As far out as those examples are (and I agree that they are impractical), there still exists somewhat of an exit clause. If you don't want to get auto insurance, don't. If you don't want to get a passport, don't. I guess this whole "mandatory insurance" thing is more of a personal rant, since I haven't heard anybody else complain about it. I'm content in leading the charge.

PJTP: Tonight, in the middle of the night, I unhooked one of my patients (much older gentleman...in his mid-70's) so he could go to the bathroom. When he was getting out of bed, he cut loose with a huge fart. He looked very sharply @ me and asked "Did you just sh*t your pants?". I said no, and then he responded with "Oh well, I guess it was me, then".

    Stop Calling it Socialized Medicine!

The healthcare bill should NOT be the vehicle for immigration reform / debate. However, it does play a part when we're discussing healthcare (I think it goes to both the cost and how the added number will affect our limited medical resources). Personally, (this is just my ideal, not saying it would work in the real world), I'd say go ahead and include the illegals already here (but be upfront about the costs) but then secure the border so that we can have some semblence of resource control. This goes for the Canadian border as well.....if our system is to be overburdened, let's at least give our citizens first shot. My point was that the democrats are sidestepping the issue of illegals. President Obama made a big deal out of saying there are no provisions in the bill to cover illegals (not really the same as saying illegals won't be covered, but I digress...), but nobody mentions how they will recieve their care! I want the details, Prez! You're preaching to the choir here. I agree. Almost every new law is redundant and aimed at micromanaging out daily lives (granted, some laws dealing with changing technology need to be updated). And, while I'm a little up in the air over whether every illegal currently here should be deported (I think not....but certainly an illegal committing a crime should be a hasty one-way ticket back to Mexico), I agree that any businesses exploiting illegal labor should be fined....and perhaps criminal charges would be in order. Again, none of those things are truly mandatory, if one chooses not to do those things listed above. I'm not so stupid as to think that there shouldn't be mandatory things (think registering for selective service, etc), it seems like the number of choices that we can make in our daily lives are dwindling fast. Now, depending on your political orientation, that may not seem like such a bad thing, but to me the concept is horrible.....I can think of few things worse than living in a country with cradle-to-grave government entitlements. Maybe the "mandatory" thing is a political divide? Maybe it's just me. I don't hear a lot of outrage over it. Nope, I don't see it that way. America is all about the individual. I understand your point, but think that it is a very slippery slope. How 'bout when the government dictates everybody has to be a certain BMI because complications resulting from obesity start costing the country too much money? It just seems so.....wrong to me to be thinking in terms of the collective at the cost of the individual.

My point was the the number of left wing attacks could be under-reported. Also, They could contribute violent attacks to people who's political leanings are uncertain (like the dude that shot up the gym.....how was it decided he was "right wing"). Shhhh, don't let BJean hear you. She claims to be pro-gun. Is she right-wing? And if my "proof" were statistics from an ultra-conservative web site would you believe it? That's my point. Are you seriously putting forth that the cost of living is lower now? Maybe compared to Jimmy Carter's administration.... In any case, better enjoy your "cheap" living costs now. With cap and trade legislation looming, this tire / union brou-ha-ha with China threatening to turn into a trade war, and possibly being taxed out the yin-yang to cover a dubious healthcare bill on the horizon, it's likely our cost of living will be rising very quickly.
