I don't think it's the homosexual community is trying to force this particular issue as much as some judicial activists. I'm not for gay "marriage" (and I realize that this is in direct opposition to my libertarian streak), but I certainly don't begrudge the general population for stumping / voting when the opportunity presents itself.

I think there need to be rehearsals....My personal dancing style closely mimics that of the Midnight Oil singer (awkwardly jerky and spasmic).....so I need some practice. I can two-step and I can bust a mean "robot". That makes me a dancin' machine!

Yeah, it can have vasoconstrictive effects. I'd think that healing wouldn't really be compromised unless the individual already had some circulatory problems, though. My doc told me that he advises against it because of the diuretic effect (and I drink lots of Water. Lots of water), so I personally thought it was an acceptable risk. Of course, I'm pretty much an idiot, so you really can't go wrong by doing the opposite of what I do...

That's not really applicable here. Seperation of church and state means that the government shan't force anybody into a state-approved religion. Doesn't mean that we must have a secular government. And I don't understand why our culture is being continually "dumbed down" with every passing generation.....but still. I'm one of those people you're refering to. I have a couple of gay friends and several lesbian friends. I love them dearly. And yet, if it came up for a vote, I would vote against "marriage" for them. I whole-heartedly support a civil union that would grant the same legal rights as a marriage. Maybe that demonizes me in some eyes....IDK.....I don't personally have any problem reconsiling both positions.
