  1. I think that's a great idea. I was thinking of doing a monthly weigh in and measurements. I feel the same way you do!

  3. Wow! That is amazing. All of your hard work has paid off!
  4. Ok everyone, here goes..... I started my one week pre-op diet today. My surgery is in one week, June 7th, 2016 and my nerves are really kicking in. I have seen several people posting their stories in this forum, so I thought I'd give it a go. It will be nice to have one place I can update everyone and keep track of my progress. After reading so many inspiring stories in this discussion thread, I hope that one day, I can do the same. I'm all stocked up on Protein shakes/ powders (Premier Protein shakes, unjury protein powders, Syntrax protein powders, and GENEPRO protein powder), broths, teas, and sugar free Jello. Luckily, my pre-op diet allows a dinner consisting of 3 ounces lean meat, 1 cup veggies, 1/2 cup fruit. Thank goodness! And now for the hard part, posting my weight. Sigh.....First, my height is 5'6" HW- 290+ SW-287 GW- 160-175 There...I did it. Hopefully, I will never see those numbers again.

  10. I'd be frustrated too! I agree with Susan. I would call and leave a message with whoever I needed to asking why your paperwork is not being submitted when you were told a week ago that it was going to. Ask if there is anything you can do to get the ball rolling, or who the correct person to contact would be to get the job done... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  11. Awesome to both of you! We will all have to keep in contact on check on each other;)
  12. @@jessjames My surgery is June 7th. I don't start my pre-op diet until Tuesday, May 31st but I might start earlier, just to be safe. Keep us updated on how you're doing!

  14. I would like to be added to the secret group, if possible. My email address is heathermcorn@yahoo.com. Thanks!
  15. Yay! Good luck to you. My pre-op diet is a protein shake for breakfast, a protein shake for lunch, and a small meal for dinner consisting of 3 oz chicken, 1 cup non-starchy veggies, 1/2 cup fruit. If I am starving in between meals I can do broth, celery, or sugar free jello. It's pretty easy, and the only meal I have to plan for is dinner. If you wanted, you could do something similar to that. I feel the same way you do, nervous but SO ready!
  16. Heather, you look amazing! Looking at your before and after pictures give me hope. I am scheduled for surgery June 7th. I am your height, and at your starting weight. Even your before picture is similar to what I look like now. My name is also Heather. Here's to hoping I have just as much success as you Any advice/tips?
