Whoa there Fredbear ....... excuse me.... you have directly insulted me 3 times now... You do realise that verbal abuse is just as bad as physical abuse right?? You need to lighten up dude... not everyone here is as serious as you.. and like @@smg said.. the reason i didnt lose control is because i can come on here and vent. If i want to imagine punching him in the face... who are you... the thoughts police?? @@Fredbear Did your mummy or daddy hurt you? Is that why you feel the need to abuse everyone to make yourself feel better? Is this why you feel the need to control everyone and everything? Small man syndrome? Dont worry... with losing more weight... that should sort itself out mate. See... i can be a b!tch if i want to... so get off my case... and my thread!

Do you have a bath? If you do... try using epsom salts in a warm bath... try heat instead of ice.... Also... get some massage oil and after your warm bath/shower.. give your legs a good massage to get the circulation going

Weight loss and liquids
NeedaBreak4Me replied to findingnish's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey... congratulations on your recovery. I wouldn't worry about your weight loss for now. During the first month your body is recovering and what you lose has no effect on your long term success. You will stall in a couple of weeks... and this is very normal. Do not obsess about the scales because it will drive you crazy!! Put it away and concentrate on getting your Protein and fluids. Weight will not come off in a uniform way.. you will stall then lose... stall then lose... -
Question about my esophagus
NeedaBreak4Me replied to dcoral's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Nothing has changed with your esophagus. .. it could be.... - dry throat - reflux or heartburn (are you taking a PPI) - they scratched your throat with instruments during surgery If it causing you pain, contact your surgeons office and ask -
Hehe We aim to please.... maybe we should charge a "just like cable" fee.... *hears a ka-ching* $$$$$$$

2 weeks post op and zero restriction with liquids yogurt and protein shakes
NeedaBreak4Me replied to ChrisLINY's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
These are slider foods... i felt the same initially.... i was like... did the doctor even do anything?! Once you are on solids... its a whole lot different.. if you eat dense Protein you get full rather quick... but slider foods like yoghurt etc you can eat a lot more -
Surgery was today, quick question
NeedaBreak4Me replied to mlgok's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes.. completely normal... try to sip it slower... and take smaller sips, let it rest in your mouth and slowly swallow.... this should help ease the trapped air.. -
OOOoooooh i hate that. Its like ..wow... what did you think of me before... oh wait... you just told me what you actually thought... grrrrrr But.. i guess its a good thing for us in the future... we will be healthy, thin and fabulous... with empathy and we will know how to not hurt people.. There is a girl at work who is a big girl.. ... like twice the size of me now... she is only 20 years old... she eats the worst food ever.. in one week she would eat the amount of crappy food that i would eat in a year! She is that bad! Her stomach apron is down to her knees and sits around a metre away from her desk because of it. I feel like i should go up to her as a fellow fatty and say something... but i know its not my place.. it breaks my heart because she is so young and a really nice person and she is literally eating herself to death. Its times like this i wish i didn't have to censor myself.
-
Me too... like i said in an earlier post.... i came up with so many comebacks AFTER all was said and done.... Now i am just hoping he says something again so i can use some of them... no doubt if he does... my mind will go blank again lol
-
Actually thats a tactful way of pointing out rudeness.... I just might use that one.... I usually am gobsmacked and say nothing or i fly off the handle.. lol No medium for me... i am one for extremes lol.... Even with my weight... im either really fat or really skinny hahahaha I either eat the whole bag or dont have any at all. All or nothing... i really should learn how to control that lol probably what got me here initially lol
-
To all the people in post op... what have you learned about your sleeve.... - i have learned (tonight)... don't let yourself get too hungry.. cause you will eat too fast and puke! - i have learned that you do feel actual hunger - i have learned that stalls do break - i have learned that i really have more willpower than i thought Now over to you.... what have you learned?
-
I have learned.......
NeedaBreak4Me replied to NeedaBreak4Me's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have learned that you need to be kind to your body whist its healing I have learned that i am overly critical of my body I have learned that obsessing over my weight is not going to you lose weight any faster -
At 2 weeks... im not sure if you are on the full liquid stage... we started soft foods at 2 weeks. But what i did was make stew with either minced lamb, beef or turkey. I made sure i added pulses and Beans for Protein and when cooked i would put a dollop of greek yoghurt in it. If you can not stomach the Protein shakes, try changing brands.. types.. you can get pea protein (it tastes yuck).. I personally am not big on protein shakes.. i don't like the artificial sweetner in them.. so i limited them to once a day... .. but i reach my protein goals through food.

Post op 5 days and not drinking enough liquids..help!
NeedaBreak4Me replied to Aliel84's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Yes i did.... and i also had furry teeth that no matter how much i brush.. wouldn't get them smooth... it all resolved itself once i was on soft foods -
That could be a new marketing campaign for exercise........

Why are my ankles puff?
NeedaBreak4Me replied to CelesteMarie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Are you drinking enough fluids... sometimes your body retains water if you are dehydrated... check the color of your pee... if its darker than the color of a baby chicken... you are dehydrated.. -
I think my best experience was this girl at uni who would constantly make comments about my weight... back then i was really big and had no self esteem so i wouldn't say anything because I didn't want to be left out of the group. I finished uni and didnt keep in contact with her... i had my band and lost all my weight... i ended up bumping into her and she didn't recognise me! The icing on the cake was she had GAINED so much weight she was literally my initial size!!! That was the most gratifying situations ive encountered to date. .. i normally wouldn't be satisfied with someone's misfortune. ... but in this instance i was like.... karma is a b!tch and so was she lol
-
I got mine a week late... so yes... very normal for surgery to stuff up your cycle

It's you guys' own damned fault. You have your genitalia just hanging around, swinging to and fro--like little punching bags. If you don't want them punched---SUCK THEM UP!!!! Omg!! Now that you mention it... they really do look like a pair of punching bags!!! *jogs on the spot humming the rocky theme*

Hey everybody... I am 4 weeks post op... and today i am crazy hungry. I am on a PPI.. and it's definitely not head hunger... i am meeting all my Water and Protein goals... and not having carbs or sugars.. so i.am stumped as to why im starving!! Ladies... Could it be that its going to be the TOTM in a week? Do you normally feel more hungry before that time? Do you get the normal PMS munchies like before?

Addiction and Obsession with Weight Loss Post-Op
NeedaBreak4Me replied to miss_smiles's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I do not think what you are doing is unreasonable... i think many of us do focus on what we are eating and when we are working out this early out. I myself plan what i will eat for the rest of the week and i have rules that i must meet... for example... i won't allow myself to go to bed until i have drank all my my Water for the day... this keeps me accountable. However, if you have an addictive personality and you are feeling you are starting to dip into the obsessive side... i would be cautious... you do not want to create disordered eating... this can create a eating disorder if it goes to far. Do you have a friend or partner that can keep you moderate? Or a counsellor that you can talk to? Remember... life is about balance... if you tip way too far on either end of the scales... the consequences can be counterproductive. -
Hahha i hope not! I am not into men who are old enough to be my dad!! But his behaviour definitely belongs in a playground... no reasonable decent mature person in their 50s would be that mean.. I secretly hoping he does say something again.... im carb deprived and i have some good comebacks now... Im not normally a mean or rude person... but i would love to show him my wrath!! Haha
