Have I been approved? Today I called to see my status on approval or not. I was told that I needed to be enrolled in the BRS program, in which I am, and given a number for my bariatric program to call. When asked what this means, I was told that I will be able to get a date and stuff if and when she calls this number... (or something along those lines?) I'm confused... Does this mean I'm approved? Or is it yet another hoop for me to jump thorough... has anybody been through this? Somebody tell me something!!! ETA: I've already completed everything else. I'm just waiting for complete approval. Called my insurance company today... and was told that my case is still pending and has been since the 21st. I was also told to call back in a few days for the answer of if I am approved or not. I have united healthcare. My BMI is well over 40. I know I'll probably be approved, but I can't help but prepare myself for a big fat no I need to calm my nerves, but right now I don't know if that is possible. There's a difference between being honest and rude and not really caring. She messed up, yes. She knows this. But throwing it in her face and questioning her motives is completely uncalled for. I'm so sick of waiting. Over the whole situation. I am completely done with EVERYTHING. But the stupid sleep study place keeps pushing me back, and putting me off like I'm not important. I've waited a month to hear back about something that was supposed to take a week tops, I've had to call them MULTIPLE times for them to say the same thing. "You should've heard from us by now" well I haven't. And y'all continue saying the same crap. Now they have to get in contact with my insurance again, to "extreme authorization" because the lab is completely booked for awhile. I just want my surgery. I just want to start living life. From my understanding everybody's is different. Some wait the amount of time surgeons tell you but I, on the other hand, will probably be calling every day lol. No shame. Some say same day. Some say couple days. Some weeks. Just kind've depends. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
