  3. First of all, congrats on taking that step!!!! From personal experience, those 6 months will FLY!!! I'll be having my 4th this coming wed. Hoping for RNY this November! Also malabsorption from what I've read, asked, and have heard from the meetings I've gone too, is something like a tool. So that helped put my mind at ease some! Nervous

I don't know. I'm at a 39.5 BMI no co morbidity so I have no idea. I was mentally preparing for a two week liquid diet but the surgeon told me only 2 days clear liquid. I'm in the US in Miami. Going to get my act together starting today as if I had to do the liquid pre op diet so I don't get crazy headaches afterwards. I'm 39 and have a weight of 208 lbs and a goal 138. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Your liver reduction diet is based off of your BMI before hand, at least that is what my surgeon and my nut told me. For example, I have a really high BMI, and my surgeon wants me to have a 3 week liquid diet preop. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. I was told that there wasn't too much weight that I could lose. That it just shows dedication. I am curious to hear other people's responses to this Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. Add flavoring!! I add crystal light, and sometimes the self serve koolaid Packets. Both are sugar free. I can only drink bottled/filtered Water. Tap water literally makes me gag. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  9. What was your breaking point? When did you realize "I cannot keep living like this" I'm up, and cannot sleep... And can't help but wonder, "how did this happen to me?!" I'm 22 years old, and fairly active... Well I thought I was until I realized my phone has a tracker and I wasn't doing nearly as much as I should've been doing. (That has since changed). I have twin girls, and realize that my mother can now get up and get to them quicker than I can. My mom is only 43, but that's no excuse. There is absolutely no reason why she should be more fit than me. None at all. My girls get away with more than they should because I'm too tired, or too lazy, to get up and remove them from what they're choosing to mess with at that moment... My girls are two. I am depriving myself of seeing their future. Everyday. I just don't get it. How at 22 years old have I allowed myself to get to the weight that I am? And why hasn't the things that I've tried worked for me? -Slim4Life: I lost 30 pounds! Felt great, but slowly and surely the weight crept back on. -Weight watchers: same deal. -21 day fix was super complicated for me. I don't get. I've tried several little "crash diets" but nothing came of it. This surgery is one of my last resorts. I want to know what it feels like to feel and genuinely look amazing, healthy. I want to know what it's like to walk into a room and literally not be the biggest one there. I want to know how it feels to not worry about not waking up the next day. 14. Called my insurance (UnitedHealth Care) and was told that though I have 2 more months I'm guaranteed surgery. I would be lying if I said I didn't break down crying! I had been freaking out about weight loss (or lack there of) and was told that it does not matter. Of course I don't want to gain more. It's just great to know that now I can breathe a little easier! Hoping these next few months fly by!!! I'm hoping to be bypassed by my bday Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Happy birthday to me!

Happy belated!! I'll be having surgery around or a little before my bday as well. I told my family that id just like money. Lol. My goal is to go into Pink and by a jacket there. I'm 22 and that is popular lol. I have a bike (an actual bike) that I have my eye on and can't wait to purchase. I cannot wait to be able to run with my twin girls, and mainly...
