I take it to say you must follow up with the surgeon etc... After the procedure... My surgeon said he has people who get the surgery and never come back for follow up care.... shakes are pre made and you can open and drink... powder is Protein based which can be made into a shake or added to food items I guess depending on the taste... I think pre op/ post op there's a lot going in the mind... I can relate to be guarded with whom you share it... It's normal to have a wide variety of feelings and even second guessing, we don't need outside influences adding fuel to that fire... I feel you can say your having surgery for female issues, very few want to discuss that any further lol... Later down the road when your success starts to show you can give more info... For me, my logical mind knows this is going to result in weight loss as it has for everyone else but having been obese for so long and tried so many think I have a slight hint of self doubt... I would not want to put it on blast until I see it working... I just think people's mouth can be the worst weapon and often times better not to hear them... My surgeon feels the liquid diet makes you weak, he also said since most people don't eat much the first week out he rather have them stronger heading into surgery... My bmi is 40, not sure if it's different directions for higher bmi There is liquids only the day before, they want you to drink at least 6 8 oz glasses of Fluid. I would think working in the medical field would make them more accommodating when you need to get medical care... All I say is I have a doctor's appointment, they say fine just been a note to serve as proof you were there... In the process of research this surgery in the past two months, I've been blessed that they let me go... I have to leave more than expected because the first two surgeon I didn't feel were a for me. So far I've met with the primary care and the surgeon, neither has mentioned anything about smoking being a problem... They both know I smoke... I'm hearing so much on here about it, I'm waiting for a visit in the middle of the night from the smoking police lol... I've been cutting back but if I could get off the hook of quitting right now that would work for me... When I'm anxious I'm either smoking or eating, giving them both up at the same time would be kind of hard. I'm curious of anyone had the surgery without quitting???...
