Man it's crazy how different each dr is. I am 2 weeks post op today and I JUST now get to start puréed foods for the next two weeks, then soft foods for 4 weeks. I read all kinds of people being allowed to eat pudding and cream Soups or purée by like day 5. I certainly feel tired, but I figure it's just par for the course. 8 days post op and I'm able to drink more than 4( 11 oz )protein shakes and more than 64 Oz of water a day.

Oh yeah- expect for it to be more intense for the first week and a half. The gas x strips to help a lot. Some of what your feeling too maybe the trapped air in your chest, from surgery. That will be absorbed over the next week, but it makes things uncomfortable I try to exhale when I swallow.. to take in less air. Man you guys sound like your doing great.. I was 3/22 and I still can't get all my Water in. That's all my dr cares about but I am terribly hungry a few times a day so I do get in a little Protein or a Popscicle to stop the hunger. Im worn out and exshausted. Hope you guys feel better, mine was the day before 3/22. I had the same aweful pulling sensation. They said sometimes there is also an internal stitch. But it's about 12 days post op and I haven't felt it the past two days as much. I just found this app. Which I had known about it before I had surgery! Lots of great advice.
