Has anyone else suffered from insomnia?

I had my surgery 3/28/16 and the first couple nights I had no problem sleeping. Now for the past 3-4 nights I will sleep 3 hours and wake up WIDE awake and can't go back to sleep. In fact it's 3:40 am and I can't sleep....ugggg. I don't nap during the day, so I know that's not it. I stopped taking my pain meds the 2nd day after surgery and I know if I took it before bed it would knock me out but I'd rather not do that. I've never had a problem with sleeping like this before, anybody else experience this?

The exact same thing happened to me. I had my surgery on 3/14. It lasted about two weeks, until I went back to work.

Got my sleeve done on 3/22 and I wake up very early around 4 or 5 am no matter what. I can't go back to bed and I am not a nap adept. Luckily I don't feel a lot more tired yet.

Have you checked your iron levels? Insomnia could be a side effect of anaemia

I have a blood test scheduled in a few weeks and I believe they will check his out . I take my vitamins and minerals supplements everyday though.

My Iron levels are good. Last night I actually slept from 9pm-6am! Praise the Lord! I needed it soooo bad!

I prayed to Jesus and he answered! He has no favorites. If you ask he will definitely help! I will pray for you as well, and I believe tonight when you go to sleep you will have a full night of goooood sleep!
