  1. Aww thanks sooo much every 1 for the nice comments. I started with a lo bmi of 30 but every year I lost weight then gained more back. And after having my last baby and gaining 4 stone I new I could lose the weight (with help of slimming pills) but I also new I would gain it bk. So decided I wanted to get serious and get rid permantly (hopefully) My high weight was 17 stone My weight now is 9.9 My goal was 10 stone I'm now trying to maintain. I love how I feel towards food now and how I am in control. Food ruled me for so long. Sent from my SM-G900F using the BariatricPal App

Or didn't no if it's just me, and I've been lucky so it would be nice to no how how you feel or any 1 else who had same surgeon. I've had absolutely no complications or hiccups no sickness had no problems with any kind of foods I can drink perfectly well no sipping. Even with a straw. I've lost around 60lbs but set a new goal because I'm still not the size I wanted to be (size uk) I'm fining it hard now to remember I still have to take vitimins etc. I had surgery coz I just wanted to be a normal person and stop obsessing about food diet etc. And I do feel I am that person now. Very happy. But I no I need to start looking after my self in other ways. And remember to a take my tabs and get my protien. Sounds like you are all doing well. 18. Thanks for the replys and advice and good luck to those who are having/had recent surgery. Well I was having a steady weight loss up until I introduced carbs bk into my diet and cut out the shakes, (as advised by dietician) now I have had my first stall and I am more hungry and craving carbs. So I think I will give it another week or so and if no improvement I will be going back to what I was doing, and what i find worked better for me, protine first, etc Sent from my SM-G900F using the BariatricPal App
  19. Hi all so glad I found this uk section. As I'm getting confused. I had surgery here in UK self pay my bmi was 30 I had surgery at alixandra bmi hospital I did all my own recerch before deciding on surgery than rang hospital and was given a surgery date in 2 weeks time, after surgery I was given a small print out with not much info and my first follow up appointment was for in 6 weeks time. So I have turned to this forum for most info. Which has litrally been a life saver. Now after seeing my doctor and dietician there advice is so different from what I'm reading on here, I understand all plans are different but my dietician stuck her nose up when I mentioned this forum, and said " I bet all they talk about is protine ha ha" then went on to advising me to eat crackers, I'm just confused, dont we all have the same needs and are bodys need the same nutrients, etc So I was just wondering does anyone who had surgery in the UK find there plan so diffrent to others. Thanks Sent from my SM-G900F using the BariatricPal App
