  1. I'm there but have been trying to keep myself busy to avoid thinking about it. My husbands keeps saying that I should be happy but its hard to explain that I am happy, and nervous all at once. I am getting better though..my surgery is on Thursday. I think part of my problem is that I have some disappointment in myself. My body is NOT reacting to the pre-op diet as most everyone else's is. I even gained a few lbs a couple days ago, and lost them again....it is just being really stubborn. BUT I am reminding myself that this is why I am having this surgery :)

Good luck on your upcoming special day!!

You are so close!! Good luck with yours also!!

  2. I'm one week pre op and I'm so nervous! I keep wondering how bad recovery might be and if I can really deal with the pain. I try to tell myself that I've birthed 3 children (2 naturally) and had 2 other abdominal surgeries. A friends' daughter is having her surgery today and I've told her not to tell me anything about it! Did anyone else feel this nervous? Wonder if you were doing the right thing?

  3. post-288524-14657796987702_thumb.jpg

I have 5 tattoos. My first one is a semicolon on my wrist. It symbolizes that I will go on no matter what my struggles were in the past. My second one was a mountain range on my other wrist. I love the mountains and my soul truly feels at home when I'm there. The 3rd is a broken arrow on my left ring finger. Though my path is broken, I continue forward. The 4th is a Number 3 in calligraphy on the ring finger of my left hand. It symbolizes my 3 children. And the 5th is the one pictured. It is a Viking stave that represents safe passage through rough seas/safe journey. I got this one just this past week.

  4. I got the letter from insurance before the clinic called me.

Yea, I am a believer of being proactive! Don't wait on others if you can find out yourself!

I generally am too but I've had a go around with my clinic. They've delayed submitting my claim because the person over mine changed jobs. Now people who started two weeks after me have dates. Every time I call the clinic it's something different!
