How long did it take from your first consultation until surgery day?
My process was 6 months.. insurance required a 3 month supervised weight program and I had several cardiology appointments before being cleared. Sent from my XT1096 using the BariatricPal App

Looking for a mentor (my surgery is in August)
@@Dana I had my surgery in 2012 and will gladly provide any support and answer any questions I can. It is normal to be nervous and losing weight pre-surgery is very difficult. What is your diet like? You may need to switch it up a bit to lose those pesky pounds. I have found that a few days of a couple of shakes and one low carb/high Protein meal works for me. You have received good advice here. Please reach out to us that have gone through process for some great support. Sent from my XT1096 using the BariatricPal App

Post Your Silly Rant
I wish I didn't know who she was. But I seem to see her all the time now on tv and stories on the Internet. I hated that stupid show Full House and now it's making a comeback! Noooo! It's difficult to see a Hallmark movie without her playing one of the characters. Sent from my XT1096 using the BariatricPal App

Hiatal Hernia
I was told basically the same thing. My pain level wasn't too bad the first week but I did experience bad nausea. You definitely do not want to vomit and risk internal damage. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Sent from my XT1096 using the BariatricPal App

Kidney infections...anyone...on pre-op diet?
I had a kidney infection that was diagnosed one week before my surgery. My surgeon's office said I would have to postpone my surgery if I could not clear it..strong antibiotics. Had another urine test day before scheduled surgery and all clear. Best wishes to you. Sent from my XT1096 using the BariatricPal App

I need a buddy, plsssss x
It definitely gets easier. The first month is difficult, but the first 2 weeks are the hardest. Go easy on yourself. Rest as needed and walk, walk for gas and sip, sip to get in your Protein and water. Best wishes. Sent from my XT1096 using the BariatricPal App

One year after sleeve surgery can you eat a whole bagel with cream cheese?
@@VSGAnn2014 I agree with you that it is not a constant diet staple but as you said sometimes you get caught in a budget hotel and have a bagel from their continental Breakfast. If eggs are available, that is a great alternative. But sometimes you just cannot plan for all contingencies. Sent from my XT1096 using the BariatricPal App
