I do eat the popsicles and pudding when I am hungry and soup too... made Swiss Knorr potatoe soup and added potato and carrots... very good and low cal and filling...... also eating health7y... except for the chips tonight.. hmmm.. anyways.. I feel great about the lap band choice and will wait for fills for restriction and weight loss... good luck to you....

good luck to you all.. banded Julu 16.. not chamging my calendar in my computer room so I can remember this great day of a new life... did the fluid and while on mushies found I could eat anythingso now I will go on weight watchers... was eating pate on crackers and tonight had chips... hmm...time to try real food to end the cravings... but.. still full after only a bit of food and still at around 600 cal.. so..hmm.

my tummy still hurts... feels odd... when I touch it..... I am eating crackers and pate??,,,,, banded July 16... but I feel some restriction... only 2 crackers for supper.. but "real food" tastes so good...... still only eating about 600 - 700 cals.

While I was down in the dumps the other day - no food there either - I finally logged on to this site and got so much encouragement. I remembered I was only 14 days post op, and all that fat going releases estrogen into your system. No wonder I am nuts sometimes. The bad has gone and I feel great today.. A Dr. checkup with Dr. Woodhouse and 13 lbs. gone helps too. keep it comeing folks we allneed the support. thanks.

banded July 16 in B.c., Canada and also feel it was the best thing I ever did. I am very tired... had knee surgery two days before lap band so feel I am recovering.... I am satisfied on my diet (changed "full" to "satisfied" still getting cravings but not giving in. I am not allowed mash pot... for a while yet. just on creamed stuff... but it seems to do me. Lost 7 pounds... very happy.... love the support on the net..... lets keep in touch... Kathy

Hey Bellingham.... Had mine done in Vancouver on 16th and just recovering..... sitting and standing very gingerly... had a great surgeion in Dr. Woodhead and he also repaired a hiatus hernia he discovered when he was in there so I got a two for one! I am very happy - almost bllisful.... cannot wait for results...but, I am 60 so I amgoing at my ownpace. See like at lot of us being done this week. good luck to us all! Kathy

I read that it was for healing too. the stomach is always contracting and expanding, even for liquids, so you need to keep it at a minimum so the band can "seat" in place and not move when it has to digest a "real" meal.

I did not think of something for nausea but the dr. did mention it.. here in Canada we use a lot of "gravol".. and have never had to research nasea medicine... do you get it while you are walking about?.,.. or just in general.....

I did my first willl after my husband died... cause you should.... and I just leave it out on the desk when I go away... so my kids can find it....hmmm.. had not thought about this.. cause you are going to sleep...... good for you for planning.. I am the same... forsee all contingencies and then you will be calm... right?,..... Ha!

glad to hear some have energy and some don't... cannot make up my mind whether to be a drama queen andveg.... or just get over it....

Not sure still how all these threads work but I am being banded in 10 days... got a cancellation date from Aug to July so very happy.. will party everywhere and so count me in to Vegas...Will want to get out of here in 2010 cause who wants to be in town when Olympics are here... anyone want to house swap?

Was August but got a cancellation so scheduled for 2 weeks from now.. no time to worry... just excited... yahoo.

I sure do not get how to post in some of these and did respond to a thread.... but here is my post... got a cancellation date so now I will be a JULY bandster.... how cool is that... two weeks.... no time to worry.. just delete fat from my diet for 2 weeks... even went out today and bought all my supplies before I knew about cancellation.. I got a cancellation date so I am now getting banded two weeks from today... Yikes... Very excited so now I will be a July bandster.... don't worry... I will still log onto your thread and see how you all are doing... now I am REALLY excited.

me too... A bit different here in Canada but Aug. 6th is my date and I am very excited... have to do a 2 week pre op diet and I live alone so need to get shopping and get in all the products I might think I need....Have a contact here in my City of Chilliwack that has had surgery and so feeling very lucky and supported... Knee surgery in two weeks and then lap band and hope I can avoid knee replacement.. Plus want to look sexy again...

I have his tape .. yikes.. not a DVD.. so may use it but I have found a fat friendly gym in my city that does a "sit fit" and modified water aerobics. so am quite comforable going there.. Everyone is so supportive whenyou injure yourself or just cannot do what is going on but Istill have not told them about lap band surgery.. hmm..

not sure if this will work.. but... happy to be here and to be banded soon... Kathy.. Canada
