    Healthy chili recipes anyone?

http://www.realsimple.com/food-recipes/browse-all-recipes/slow-cooker-vegetarian-chili-with-sweet-potatoes#close I love this recipe and it is made in the crock pot. I add extra Beans to increase the Fiber and Protein. Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App

    DC/Balitmore Hospitals and Surgeons

Sorry I didn't see this before now. I had my sleeve done at GW by Dr. Vaziri. He was great and I felt very well taken care of. They have a bariatric wing that you can tour if you are still deciding. Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App

    Oral thrush

I only used the prescribed mouthwash a few times. The tongue brush did most of the work. Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App

    Premier Protein Powder

I drink the premier premade vanilla shakes, but I add a frozen banana and a scoop of PB2. I have it for Breakfast everyday and it is very filling! I agree....straight out of the container, the shakes are awful!! Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App

    Oral thrush

I had it. I called my surgeon and they prescribed a mouth wash. The worse part was how bad the thrush made my breath smell. It was awful! I also invested in a tongue brush/scraper...I found it at Target with the toothbrushes. Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App

What is your favorite protein bar?

I like Premier Peanut Butter caramel because it has Protein AND Fiber. Fiber is my BFF these days!! Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App

    PB2

Peanut Butter is my thing, too. Like how some people go crazy for all things chocolate-- I go nuts for peanut butter! I make a blended shake with vanilla premier Protein, a scoop of PB2, and a frozen banana. It is so good and it keeps me full from my early morning Breakfast until lunch. Good luck!! Maryland sleevers?!

Is there anyone in Southern Maryland interested in size 22, 20, 18 female clothes? It is mostly professional type clothing and lots and lots of pants, a few suits, and a dress or two. I am giving away...not selling! Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App

    The struggle is real.

I was sleeved one day after you and I've been stalled for about two weeks. I made my husband hide the scale from me because it was really impacting my mood. I had my one month follow-up on Friday and the surgeon is very happy with my progress. I have to keep reminding myself that 22 pounds in four weeks is amazing and I could not have done that with any other diet plan. We have to just keep on trucking and wait for this to end. Good luck!! 10. Happy one month surgiversary! I hope everyone is still doing well and plugging along. I am still in the dreaded week three stall. Argh! I made my husband hide the scale which has made my life better. I had my one month follow-up on Friday and the surgeon is happy with my progress, so I am happy, too. I'm down 22 pounds from my pre-op weight. How is everyone else? Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App

    Itchy Incisions

I am almost three weeks post-op and I had some seriously itchy incisions with rashes. I used hydrocortisone and it helped. Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App

    Maryland sleevers?!

I'm also in Southern Maryland. Do any of the other SOMD folks know of any face-to-face support groups that are local? My surgery was at GW, so their support group sessions are not very convenient. Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App

    What type of diet

My insurance and surgeon took Weight Watchers as my six month supervised diet. Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App
  14. It is almost three weeks post-op. How is everyone doing? I have a head cold and I'm not sure what I can take. I guess something liquid? Other than that, I still feel good. I started soft foods on Friday which isn't as exciting as I thought it would be. I still need shakes to make my Protein goal. I'm so sick of shakes! Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App
  15. I was sleeved on March 22nd. I have had a great recovery, but I did notice some fatigue. I worked really hard to increase my Protein and that seems to help. Are you still on any pain meds? Sent from my KFTHWI using the BariatricPal App
  16. I wish I drank more Water leading up to my surgery! The day before I did my magnesium sulfate and I didn't pay much attention to my Fluid intake. The morning of surgery, they struggled with starting my IV because they couldn't find my veins. I've never had this problem, but I'm usually very well hydrated. Everything else was a breeze compared to that! Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App
  17. I was sleeved on 3/22. I'm still in the hospital, but I haven't had much pain. It is really just discomfort and soreness. I was up in my chair a few hours out and I was walking that evening. sleeping is uncomfortable, but I'm a side sleeper and i still have a drain. Good luck!
