Hey everyone I was at the hospital with my mom who had her gallbladder removed and she mentioned to the nurse that I was getting the sleeve done in June. The nurse said to make sure to tell your dr. About the gallbladder history with my mom and he will give you a prescription to prevent having similar issues. It's common with people who drop weight quickly.

I have my last nut appointment tomorrow and then have to start getting my tests done within 30 days of surgery. My date is 6/3. I've tried not to lose too much weight within the 6 months because my nut said insurance will not approve you if they see you can do it without the surgery. Going on vacation 2nd week of May and gonna enjoy myself before I have to come home to a liquid diet. Getting nervous every day it gets closer

Has anyone gone thru skin removal surgery and were you covered by insurance? I've seen there are some ways to get it covered.

Lol I hear you. I have 3 weddings this summer. I already told most of my friends about the surgery so they'll know why I'm not really eating

My nut told me you don't want to lose too much weight during the 6 month period because they will deny you because you can lose it on your own. And you don't want to gain weight because then they will say your not committed

Yea once you do the seminar they will set you up with an appt with the dr. Most insurance require a 6 month history with a nutritionist. So this journey actually started 6 months ago for me.

Hey what's going on everyone. My name is Romi I'm 34 from NJ and I go for my last nutritional appt next month and have surgery scheduled for 6/3. I'm a little nervous but can't wait to get back into the clothes I used to wear. My weight now is 355. I am an active big guy but just can't seem to drop weight on my own. I'm used to carrying 100 lb ladders and climbing telephone poles but now I have a new job and have a desk job. I see all these success stories and I convinced my wife this is what I need to help me get where I want so we can start a family. It's great to have a place like this to reach out and talk to people that are going thru the same thing as me. Any tips and advice on what to bring to the hospital would be great. And anything else you can recommend.
