  3. Why so much criticism? A simple I don't think it's a good idea would've been fine

because unfortunately it makes some people feel better about themselves to put down or criticize others.... very common behavior among bullies!! :(
bullies are one of the reasons I became an emotional eater starting when I was a child

  4. I think my new thing is going to be to comment on all the posts about food. I just wrote two paragraphs about crackers...so now I'm going to write about PB&J. As a note, I'm 3 years out, I've been at goal for about 18 months, and I've been within 5 pounds of goal for almost two years (it took flipping forever to lose those last 5 pounds).

Guess what I ate last week? An entire box of those awful Smuckers Uncrustables with Peanut Butter and honey. I had major dental work done, everything I ate hurt my face, and those were soft and didn't add to my misery. They were good and I ate all four of them in less than 24 hours. I felt like my old fat self, except the difference between now and then is that I also didn't really eat anything else that day and I have no interest in having them again anytime soon. I didn't gain any weight, and I actually managed to lose a pound during that time, probably because the crackers I usually eat hurt my mouth with all the salt they have on them. You know what else I liked to do? Some days if I feel in the mood for something sweet, I will order the kids PB&J from Panera. I tend to forget about this when I say I don't eat sweets almost ever, but given the fact that I used to have a few Cookies, I'm fine with treating myself to a PB&J once every few weeks.

Three months after surgery I ate my face off in chocolate, I regularly ate half a Panera panini, oozing with cheese, and sometimes I had two TWO!! Starbucks cake pops in a day- within a few months after surgery! I didn't adapt to the way I eat now by cutting everything out immediately. Most days I eat chicken, goldfish, granola bars, and some form of vegetable Soup, but the other day I had Panera corn chowder, and guess what, I didn't get fat, I didn't die, and for once the cream in it didn't make me sick.

No, you shouldn't be eating PB&J two weeks after surgery, but for some people, it does them no good to ban them from certain foods forever because it just makes them want those foods more. My sleeve works for me because I can eat anything I want to and so I no longer have any real interest in things that were once forbidden. What works for one person doesn't work for another and I try very hard to not judge someone else's diet based on my own stomach.

I am now going to eat a handful of Peanut Butter Captain Crunch for Breakfast after I just drank two sugar free Red Bull...because I can and it's good and when I factor in what I eat the rest of the day, it is an entirely appropriate part of a normal day. :)

    . You are awesome☝️

  5. Same here.but no matter what,it averages about 3 lbs a week.

Wow is it only me or does it get harder and harder to lose as the weeks go on. I just hit 186 - only 36 more pounds to my goal, and 46 to my stretch goal. Is anyone else less than 50 pounds away from goal and having a tough time losing even only after 3 months? You think this is just a stall? Am I freaking out for no reason?

    How much have u lost?

  6. Ah thanks ladies!!! I stocked up on premier Protein right before the surgery and my NUT told me in my last appointment that she doesn't recommend them because of the ingredients . I'm still debating ... Every post and person I have followed has swore by premier . I would prefer something pre made on the go...

  7. I minced, then mushed chicken breast. Also, my husband made me a scrambled egg (couldn't finish it though), today I will try mushed up tuna. My friend got a chili from Wendy's and pureed it and said it was amazing (I don't like chili, so that doesn't appeal to me). Most important thing to remember about soft food stage is to focus on Protein, so in other words, ricotta cheese? Yes. Mashed potatoes? No.

  8. This is so funny because I having 3 c-sections asked the same question and everyone told me c-sections were much worse. On the day of surgery I woke up in horrific pain. The only thing I kept saying was "they said it wouldn't f**king hurt!!" Over and over again and my recovery nurse guy kept saying "who said that?!" I said everyone. I was soooo mad!! He gave me something in my IV that knocked the pain out within a few minutes. Recovery was not easy for me at all. The first 2 days I was in the hospital and went home on the 3rd day. I finally called my surgeon and told him the pain pills just weren't cutting it. I actually cried and I don't cry. He gave me a stronger narcotic and after that I was fine. I don't know why mine hurt so bad? I just had a TT and breast lift 9 days ago and they say a Tummy Tuck is horrific but I woke up in no pain and only took pain pills for 48 hours. It's a mystery to me. Hopefully yours won't be painful like mine BUT just know with all the "it's not that bad" that for some of us it was bad! Now with that being said to have the results I have now and new lease at a new life I would do it all over again 100x! This new body is completely worth all I went through. Good luck!!

    Agreed

Gas pain doesn't "sound" that bad.i was completely unprepared for the reality of it.there was no gas pain with my c-section.never felt anything like that in my life.but now that it's all over.....WORTH IT
