  4. Immediately off of blood pressure medication after surgery. My surgeon even commented that my BP remained normal even during surgery and right after. Resting heat rate is at least 30 beats slower per minute. Stopped migraine medication immediately. Blood platelet medication reduced by half. Will continue to have everything monitored for awhile just to ensure all is well. Back, leg pain already greatly reduced. 4 weeks out tomorrow. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  16. Hello, I've recently graduated to soft foods. This is also when I was instructed to start back up with my Vitamins, Calcium etc. However it appears that I may have an allergy to the calcium citrate. I don't believe it could be anything else as it is the only new thing I've started taking. I will be talking to my team (dr, nut, etc) on Monday about it, but I'm wondering in the mean time if anyone else has had the same issue and what alternatives have been suggested/offered. I'm going to stop taking it over the weekend and hope this settles down. Thank you in advance, Paula Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  25. I'm so grateful for my GP. It was her idea to refer me to our bariatric clinic a couple of years ago. I saw her a week after surgery for a check up and drop some meds. She was so happy for me she was Teary eyed. Said that this would change things for me health wise so dramatically. And it has already. No more high BP pills, no more migraines and my resting heart rate is 30 beats slower per minute.! I'll be forever grateful to her for encouraging me to go this route.
