    Beer

I was told by my doctor that it does stretch the sleeve, beer, soda, etc. It's not that I heard it on some blog or group chat, it was various doctors. I guess there's two sides to this topic.

    Beer

Carbonation stretches the sleeve. Stay away from it, sodas, Icees, Perrier water, etc.

  13. I'm 6 weeks out and for the past 2 days I've been getting pain in my upper and lower stomach when I eat or drink anything! I ate pick rinds after reading people eating it for Protein, if formed a global in my esophagus and had to throw it up. Since then, I've had this pain. Anyone else experience this? What can I do? Barely drinking or eating for 2 days. Can it be gas? Stretched stomach? Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App

    Stomach issues

I hate auto correct. I read people eating the, in small pieces at 6 weeks. It formed a clump in my throat. I will be contacting him next week if it doesn't go away. I'll be on liquids and creamed Soups for the next couple of days to be on the safe side. My doctors office said we could start eating regular foods by week 6, little by little. 16. I didn't exactly follow my diet after my first week going into full liquids, just got tired of broth, Jello, liquids and all the Protein shakes, started early on creamed Soups but also pureed Beans and that was my main food. I've lost 26 lbs but I'm wondering if that hindered my weight loss. I'm stalling now and just dropped 1 lb. after 5 days stalled. What can I do to restart my rapid weight loss? Should I start over from week 1?? Will that help? Has anyone else gone through this? Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App
  17. I'm 4 weeks post op, lost 23lbs. and haven't been able to lose anything goes else for a week! I can only get 32 oz Water in, a little Protein, usually 1/2 Protein shake and some pureed Beans mostly. Has anyone else experienced this? I can't understand if im barely eating why can't I lose weight! So frustrated and disappointed. Help!! Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App
  18. Wow, I look forward to those months and to feeling better so I can start really exercising more. I really didn't think about how the body needs time to heal and get back on track. Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App

  20. Thank you for your stories, glad to see I'm on track and this is nothing bad. I haven't been drinking enough or having enough food or Protein so apparently that slowing me down. I've also tried other foods, Beans for one, mashed and my NUT said that's not a good source of protein, more calories than protein, but that's what my creamed Soups have been since I hate canned creamed soups or having to add cream to them. I also have to start back up on my walking, my back has been killing me since the surgery when I stand or sit for too long across the middle side to side, doc said it should go away soon, that sometimes during surgery they hit areas that may affect your back temporarily. It hasn't been that but, but this week it was. Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App
  21. Thanks! You're right, can I ask what you were told your calories and carbs should be? Like I said, the NUT that was there and went through the surgery left and I'm not sure the new girl is 100% knowledgeable about all this. Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App
  22. Should I start from week 1 again or just stay at week 4 which is where I'm at now, still soft foods? Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App
  23. Today is exactly a month since my surgery. Wish my NUT would have given better guidance. They had a great one who actually went through the surgery herself and had a basket full of things you could eat so you could see choices, however, 2 weeks before my surgery she decided to leave because of family issues. The girl who took her place seems a little lost and not very knowledgeable, she's nice, but doesn't know her stuff like the previous one. Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App
  24. I've just not eaten what they recommended I eat, could take egg, tuna or chicken salad. I've made butternut squash Soup with unflavored Protein added, ham slices, soft laughing cow cheese, baby bell cheese, small pieces of chicken/meat during my 3rd week. Do you think that's bad? Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App
