  1. I added a cheese stick and protien granola bar to my daily routine because some vets suggested I get more calories. That broke my 3 month stall. I am starting to understand this whole lose then stall thing. It gives my body time to adjust and my skin to tighten. I guess I am 'embarrassing the stalls" LOL Still super slow weight loss, 33 lbs since May 28th.

Can you show me a sample of your daily routine. I've been stalling for 4 weeks aarrrggggg..

  2. I'm 3 months post op revision and the scale hasn't moved in the last 4 weeks. I've only lost 28 lbs. it's very frustrating.

Hi Pink Lantern i know your fustration well. i will be 4 months out september 24th.. i had my revision from band to sleeve on May 24th and after losing 25lbs (250 - 225) in about 2 and 1/2 months i have been stuck on 225 for the past 4 or so weeks too.. i agree and understand that the weight loss may be a little slower but i didn't think it would just STOP lol smh i just continue doing what i am suppose too i do notice the inches coming off though.. keep doing what you are doing it will eventually move. good luck !

  4. So I bit the bullet today and told someone I work with about having bariatric surgery. She mentioned to me her doctors have recommended it to her. The next thing out of her mouth really shocked me. She said she knows she can do it by eating get right and exercising. Do people really think that having bariatric surgery is a miracle and you wake up the next day skinny. Don't they realize it us a tool in the journey and you still have to eat better and exercise.

    Just had to vent...

My answer to them immediately after that kind of answer " I know i can do it by eating get right and exercising" is and will always be "You go Girl I know you can do it" and leave it at that.. ;) ;) ;)

  5. Well i think it depends alot on what your occupation is . I am back to work full time exactly one week later so i just took vacation days. My job is mostly 97% sitting behind a computer in my own room in a Health Facility so i didn't really worry about it. Unless your job is moving around lifting or dangerous i dont think you need 4-6 weeks.. but who am i .. My experience hope it helps.

    Oh Congratulations on your approval!

  6. i was just asking that too i was just sleeved last week but i have read that it will go away after a few months so i left hospital with the prescription pepcid 1 tablet 2x a day for 90 days i was also given maalox at hospital too so i brought that and take it too when needed it works pretty quick .. if this is gonna resolve itself in a few months i can deal with it but i have decided not to eat or drink anything that will aggrevate it .. i notice the gatorade and any juice like diet snapple triggers it quickly so back to plain Water..

    good luck

tell your doctor they will give you prescription

  7. i must be a poster child i had no nausea at all. i had no gas pains at all, (i burbed alot)the pain meds given to me were sufficient. i was able to go home the next day but i didnt' want to i wanted to stay another night and was allowed to. next day home i was cleaning walking and back and forth from my bed to computer. i drank more than i was suppose to i used the enhaler and i took my pepcid and percocet on time. 2 days later i was driving running errands i started to question if i had the surgery the next day when doc came to visit me in the room lol he said yeah not only did i have the sleeve done he found a small hernia that he repaired i was impressed especially when i watched the sleeve being performed on youtube. im greatful for my surgeon and if i had to i would do this all over again. Now i just have to work my sleeve and lose this weight.

  8. Craig,

Im sorry to hear that you let your family get in the way of your dreams and healthy future. Maybe if you let them read all these great revision success stories maybe they will change their minds. If you read all these stories in revision from band to sleeve they are all 99.9% the same thing. No matter what the decision that yo stay with you have to remove the band or it can cause serious damage later on. i wanted the band out so bad that i was willing to pay for it myself before fighting with insurance. but thank god all went well insurance approve revision to sleeve and removal of band. i too had the band put n in 2006 did great lose 80lbs and about 2 years ago started having problems slip throwing up cant eat acid reflux gerd ect ect. January 2016 decided i had enough and went back to my doc for revision i had surgery a few days ago May 24 revised im am thrilled and doing great 3 days later im walking 2 miles cleaning driving and back to normal following protocol. (oh by the way i had gained all of my weight back.) arrgg im not to upset just as long as the scale is moving the right way im good.

I wish you the best in your decision. keep us posted
