  1. Sorry I am Late - I was travelling - thanks so much for doing this! Goal Weight:142 Current Weight: 150 Today's Date: 11/18/2016
  2. Just finished Race 2 - the mermaid series - it was a nice run - the earliest i have run before - I was able to shave 5 minutes off - so i finished in 34:48. Next week is a 5 mile in texas with my family.
  3. @Candygyrl We can send you the spreadsheet and advise how to run it if you want to start one for thanksgiving! or one that goes from thanksgiving to Xmas? I can help you set up on Googledocs - Let me know if you want to run the next one
  4. Hi! October 31st current weight 148. Thanks for running this
  5. Good Luck! Let Us know how you did - I have my second 5K in 2 weeks and then a 5 mile at thanksgiving in Austin with my nieces and I am still worried - I can't imagine doing a 15 K!! You are a great inspiration - I am also at 7 months and 15 from goal - i would NEVER have thought i would run a 5k or even5 minutes - gooooooooo us!
  6. American housewife is not getting very good reviews - but I like it! I like the actress way back to when she was on mike and molly and I think it is entertaining
  7. if you want some crunch with protein - the quest chips are fairly good ratio wise as opposed to crackers - 32grams (a bag) is 120 calories, 2g fat, 5g carbs and 21 protein - I usually snack on half a bag when i am craving salty and crunchy and a vegetable wont do (i still have some issues with raw veggies 7 months out) - so at 1/2 a bag it is slightly higher payoff than a mozzarella stick - though it is mostly chemicals
  8. And just like that someone can say something to burst the bubble. The new receptionist at the naturalist I go to for b12 and Vitamin shots each week asked me what I typically get. I told her a higher dose b12 because of weight loss surgery. She said "good for you. Taking that first step! When is your surgery ?" I was like ummm 7 months ago? And she said oh. Ok. Please have a seat. Hahahahaha. I don't know what she was expecting. I am 5'5 and weigh now 153 pounds. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  9. I had finished my period 4 days before surgery and it started up again 4 days after surgery and lasted for 7 days. I think our hormones become heightened. They regulated back to normal about 3 months after if that helps at all. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. I got this one and it is helping. I was all set to go for a run to see if rollering before the run would help and we are having storms for the next few days. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  11. I went to go buy a new foam roller and asked the salesperson what the difference and need is between the longer and shorter one and which should I get. She said, and I quote "well you are pretty petite in size so the shorter should be just fine". I am 5'5 so she couldn't be talking about my height! I was so stoked I actually laughed out loud. Me!!! Petite!!! Finally. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  12. Current weight for 10/10 is a 154.8. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  14. Also, I experienced, and others did as well, a change in smells. Everything smelled bad for me the first 3 weeks. My bedroom smelled rancid. I smelled rancid. Someone said they couldn't be around their family because they all smelled like onions. I had friends over and asked "if they could smell that" and the said they didn't know what I was talking about. The only thing I could handle was a clean linen candle. I burned one in every room. It helped. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  15. Good luck all you October surgeries! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  16. @jamielogical. That is a great story! I wonder if running is like learning a language. It is easier the younger you start Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  20. I really like Speechless - the minnie driver new show - reminds me of her character's attitude on the Riches. Haven't seen the Riches? It was cancelled mid season 2 from Fx nearly 10 years ago- but it is on Netflix and I highly recommend it - It is about a family of "travelers" aka gypsy con artists- who take over another family's life and it is so good - One of the only tv series i have watched more than once.. on another note - I am speechless at that person's comment about the idiot box - I too agree that tv helps me keep interested when working out at home - so if i don't have time for the gym (or skip it intentionally) - I make myself row on my concept 2 for 30 minutes - and I do that while watching a tv show on my ipad on demand - I have a small apt so my rower is behind my couch and not facing the tv. I also use the commercial breaks as a sprint time - so when a commercial starts i row full out and challenge the heart rate. I can admit that before surgery I spent a great amount of my time lounging around and watching tv - because i love both lounging AND tv. I think it is far better that of the two things i loved, I gave up lounging and still watch tv while I am active. I also listen to books when I run - because carrying one and reading was too difficult. ha! I also enjoy the effect it has to make me laugh or empathize or feel emotions, or how it helps me take my mind off of my own stresses and focus on someone else's - hahaha. I also like to listen to live court cases as I go to bed - O.P.P. i guess... to each his own I say - I am 6 months out and am 15 lbs away from my goal - all due to my lifestyle changes. - To be successful and keep it up consistently this time, i dad to figure out how to fit what gives me joy and happiness into the new healthy lifestyle as opposed to living a horrible, restrictive life like i tried so many times before... and failed
  21. I miss Brussels Sprouts so much - it has turned out to be the one veggie that still causes me issues - i can eat cabbage no problem - but give me 1 Brussels sprout and i get the foams - even 6 months out! I am going to try again at month 9. My nut said that that can sometimes happen - where you have an intolerance but it may go away - I hope so!
  22. Goal Weight: 150 148 Current Weight: 155 Today's Date: 03 Oct 2016 I have updated my goal weight if that is Ok - I want to "push myself" I think 1 more challenge after this and my challenge goal and my goal goal will be the same - 140. Thank you!
