C25k. Keeping myself honest
Goooooo me! I had a client in town today and we had a work potluck. I had a few bites of this and that but the kicker was I went for drinks and had some wine.. Then dinner (a cup of Manhattan clam chowder) and didn't get home til 8:30. Today was supposed to be week 4 day 2. And I was lamenting being bad and not running the whole ride home. Guess what? I put on my running clothes and went running!! At night and in the dark and I loved it!!! I honestly think the potato in that Soup made me have energy or something but I felt awesome. The bad thing is I feel so awesome right now I am not tired and I need to go to bed... But I feel really really good. It is weird. And I usually listen to a book (I know I M a nerd but it keeps me interested) and I listened to some music instead and I found myself run dancing. Maybe I am drunk. Hahahaha. But seriously I am unsure what this feeling is. Maybe it is what they call a runners high. But I highly doubt that is it running 5 minutes at a stretch.. I have to go to New Jersey next week which means running inside on a treadmill I think because of the heat. We shall see how that goes... I may just save my program till I return to sf at the end of the week. We shall see.. One more day in week 4 which I think I will do Friday or Saturday. I am dreading seeing what week 5 has in store. I like week 4 so much I may repeat it . But who knows maybe I will like week 5 as much as week 4 but for some reason I doubt it... Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

I did it!!! I did it!!! 2 bursts at 5 minutes each! I seriously about peed my pants I was so excited!!! I have to try out new routes now because I go farther. Today it was nice and breezy so I went down to Chrissy field. It is very popular because it is a long straight stretch. I tend to like to explore and loop different places but decided today to keep it in one straight path. I knew it would be a tough one and I didn't want to be where there were a lot of people milling around after work. I have to say, I am damn proud of myself! Thanks for all the support! Week 3 day 2 done. I think I am going to knock day 3 out tomorrow. I went out a bit early today because I had to use my groupon for. Sensory deprivation chamber, also called a flotation chamber. It was my first time. Once I got relaxed I really liked the weightless feeling it gave me. Probably about 30 min in I was starting to relax and when they knocked to tell me it was time to get out I didn't remember the last 20 minutes. I highly recommend! Deviled egg ideas?
@@Valentina I made your recipe for crab deviled eggs. I used 2 eggs, 1 oz Alaskan crab leg meat ($1.25 at the seafood counter. Hahaha) a little mayo, I added a little mustard and Chesapeake bay seasoning. My lemon was bad when I went to use it. It was delicious. Ok. Week 3 day 1 is completed. It was hard! It increased to 3 minutes at a time. I did it though, even if it was really slow. It was very hot compared to normal. I did the fitness court at the end as well. With the app they have as well. It had a voice over on top of a techno type music that told you when you were at 30 seconds remaining and 15 and when to move stations. Pretty fun! I did however cheat on my diet. When I went to the deli to get some low sodium turkey breast for lunch, I asked for a sample of the red white and blue potato salad. And I had a sample spoon full. Shoot me. Hahaha. It was good! That was, by the way, the first piece of potato I have had since 1 month pre surgery. This week will be tough to do the remaining 2 days of the training. I am shooting for wednesday and Friday. Thursday I am seeing peter Gabriel and sting in concert and cannot wait. PG is my all time favorite singer! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Yes. I downloaded c25k. It took me a few months to actually do it. I would start and stop. But I HAVE to keep it up! I am sure it will continue to get harder but I can do it!

Laffy taffy - skittles -starburst
I can not ever order another bag of Bariatric Advantage lemon Calcium chews. They taste like lemon starburst and are chewy. And I tolerate well. Too well. I really want to eat more than 1 a day. But at 3 carbs and not to mention calcium overload causing constipation. I did cheat and have lemonheads. I should have never had even 1. Even though it never made me sick. Here is why: 1. I planned on having just 2 and had 20. 2. I went over my carb allotment for the day 20g 3. It made me crave sugar when I hadn't in 3 months. 4. I felt disappointed in myself because I did so well up until then and can no longer say I didn't cheat. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Ok! Week 2 day 3 completed. I did the palace of fine arts route again. I felt good at the end. So much so I decided to do an extra 30 minute walk. I also finally decided to try out the fitness court. It is a series of stations with low intermediate and advanced directions for all 7 areas. Pretty darn cool. I. Think I will try and finish with this each time. Once u get over feeling like people are staring it is fine. I changed my mindset from "they must think I am weird" to "they must think I'm fit". On to week 3! Wish me luck!
