  1. @ rubia72 - Those are my classifications - basically - if you are still trying to get to goal weight - then you are in weight loss mode - If you are at or around your goal and are just trying to maintain the current weight give or take a few pounds - you are in maintenance - I believe with a goal of onederland you are active weight loss mode

    C25k. Keeping myself honest

I think I need to avoid the back to back runs - I went out sunday to catch up and am really sore in my hips and thighs and i feel tired. I will go out Wed - it is supposed to be the 2.75 mile day - but we shall see! I will just keep thinking "I think i can I think I can" Yesterday I tried to do the 2.5 miles in 25 minutes again - but i was really tired so i settled for 2.0 miles in 27 minutes
  3. @ dlp712 - I have added you to the list - Could I get your goal for the Challenge? So what you would like to weigh at the end of the 5 weeks?
  4. @Diana_in_Philly - good luck at your surgery!
  5. This challenge will run from 5-30-2016 through 7-11-16 (I didn't want to end ON the holiday). This will give us a total on 7 weigh ins. This is my first challenge as an organizer - so patience is appreciated! I am following the same logic as vsgSarah3 who has done a great job administrating up till now . I will do my best to post to the spreadsheet within 1 day of receiving your weight. This challenge is for everyone. If you are pre op, post op, in maintenance or looking for some accountability; this challenge is for you! The rules and link to the spreadsheet are below! Please respond to the post if you are interested and I will add your name to the spreadsheet. Please Post Your Starting Weight (Weight on or around 5/30) and your Goal Weight (what you would like to weigh at the end of the 7 weeks) at the start of the challenge on 5/30 or before. Rules: 1. Post your weight on this thread every Monday. 2. If you change your screen name please let me know. 3. If you miss 3 or more weigh ins, I will assume you no longer want to participate and your name will be removed from the spreadsheet. 4. If you miss a weigh in, no problem. Just post it asap. 5. We are all here to support each other, if you post a question anyone can answer. 6. You will know your weight is updated on the spreadsheet once I've liked your post! The link to the spreadsheet is below! Have fun, and good luck with this challenge!!! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ZoJGwloxFqYIHkY4wH6fHmLvo6K9IXXv72-ma0gcznI/edit?usp=sharing

Wow!! I am impressed. An 11 minute mile!! I was just about to post how excited I was for my 12:25 minute mile. Just got home from w7d1 which is 25 minutes or 2.5 miles. I started off saying I will do the 2.5 miles. And did 2.02 in the 25 minutes. I was exhausted but I felt good. I think I got too hot. I still feel hot. @@goblue9280 do you feel amazed every time you go further or longer? I just keep wondering who this girl is who is accomplishing this. As for the medal, it arrived today and it is glorious. I found out most races don't do participation medals I thought we didn't get a shirt either. But I found out we do get a shirt so that is cool! But I am still gonna wear the medal! Hahahaha Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

The horror!! I just found out we don't get a medal for finishing the 5k I. September. I ordered one for myself! I finished week 6 day 2. It was 2 10 minutes and it felt harder than the 20. Probably because I did it so soon. I feel very sore. I also ran faster than I normally do. I know it is slow (I was supposed to do a 10 minute mile) and I did 13 minute miles. I will take that! Here is my medal. I hope to post a picture of me at the end of the 5 k with it around my neck if I am able to finish. Keep up the good work everyone!! You all inspire me! Hi all! Sorry to go Mia for awhile. I got sick after a trip then went to my dad's for his birthday. Everyone is doing so well. I am back in the groove and I am pleased to say I did the 20 minute run today! Goooo me! I feel super awesome. The 5 k is a few weeks away so I need to step it up! I did the 8 minute day with my nephew last week and I told him I was afraid of the 20 minute day and he said his advice was to try it and go for as long as I could. And if it wasn't 20, to try again next time until I accomplished it. I am glad I took his advice. Also this is pretty exciting. One of the reasons i did the surgery was for my blood pressure. I ran 170/110 without meds and 145/99 with meds for 15 years. I stopped my meds after surgery and have been improving. I still always showed pre hypertensive. Not today! Look at this bad boy! My jp Morgan chase race isn't until sep 28 so I think I will start week 5 over Saturday. I totally agree that the longer times still feel easier than 90 seconds did. Hahahah. I was a little irritated today when I rechecked the date and our office manager told me I am the captain of the "walkers". I was like wtf?? I told her thank you, but I plan on jogging at a minimum. So I plan to find someone else to captain the walkers. I don't want to not be supportive and I commend everyone who is walking it, but this is a life goal for me. To run in a 5 k. I would have never been able to do this before. I couldn't even walk it. I want to support everyone on the walk, but for once in my life I am going to put myself first instead of others. Oh and one more thing. If I finish I am going to get a picture taken at the end like I see people having. It will be the first picture I have had taken since 2005 that I will post!! @@JamieLogical - Yes - I remember seeing a post from you about something like that but couldn't remember the post!!! I thought it all started Week 6! - That post that you made about this before is what got me going again this time, actually - it made me say to myself that I could modify like you and get it done! Thank you so much for posting that in here.. I will try it your way. I actually feel kind of sore today - so pushing the 20 does not seem like a good idea at this point - but i dont want to give up! I will let you all know how I do!

Omg week 5!!! You are a tricky week! So I decided to do week 5 day 1 in New Jersey after dinner. Bad move. I stuck close to the hotel and ran in the back empty parking lot of the building next door. I have to commend anyone who is able to run in the heat and humidity. I puked a bit, I am not gonna lie. But I finished it. It was the 3 5 minute runs. The view wasn't that great. But I liked the trees. I didn't eat that great Tuesday and had some guilt and had the intention to run around 10pm when I got home but didn't. To jet lagged. Soooo, I ran tonight thinking it would be 3 5 minutes again and it was 2 8 minutes!!! That seemed like a big jump! I did it but my left calf is hurting. I also did the fitness center after for a 7 minute circuit. I have been consciously not looking at what the run will be until the run part starts but I saw day 3 is the dreaded 20 minute run. This also seems to soon after 8 minutes. I am very worried. And I am not joking. It will be Saturday evening I think. @@goblue9280 let me know if your coach has any hints!!! Everyone is rocking it!!
