Well, today's the day! I'm kind of numb at the moment, not sure how I feel. I got a call and surgeries are running late so we wait! At least we hadn't left the house yet. I had things planned just so, so I wouldn't have a lot of time to wait and get anxious... oh well! I wish I could drink Water, but I'll deal. Two hours before I can even leave the house. Going to knit because I can't focus on a book or show right now. Wish me luck!Best of luck! We've all been there. You will do fine. The hardest part is the wait. I'm able to drink almost normal now. 100oz is no problem for me at 25 days outI'm only at day 6 though so I'm still sipping slowly. I do about 2 oz every 15 minutes. Sent from my XT1254 using the BariatricPal App

Yup! Neighbor's dropped off a homemade chicken pot pie and all I could do was smell it. . Sigh. (They don't know what kind of surgery I had. I feel too defensive to tell people.)I'm only starting to tell people. I figured once it was done, it was done so what they say doesn't matter anymore. Silly question. Anyone just think, I miss food? I'm a picky eater so for the 3 weeks I'm on a full liquid diet, I'll be eating SF pudding and drinking milk. I don't eat soups. Can you move around reasonably easily, walking and showering? Are you "burping slime" the way some folks describe (shudder)? Piper, healing wishes to you! I can tell you that other than two very sore spots right now, pain is easing. Each time I go for a walk though, I become nauseous and go back to sucking on ice chips since I had the nausea meds 3 hours ago and can't have anymore for 3 hours. I've found unjury chocolate splendor mixed with milk to be bearable. That's the only one though. It doesn't contain aspartame or other artificial flavors which is why I think I can tolerate it. Sent from my XT1254 using the BariatricPal App

I had to move mine to the 20th because he's not in the hospital my hematologist is out of on the 13 Having had pulmonary embolisms, I didn't want to risk not having my doctor available.

I'm a teacher too. I'm in NJ so we finish June 10. That's why going the 20th!!! Less than a month left!!!!!!!!!!
