    Does God hate me?

I'm not religious but I appreciate those who are. He does not hate you, maybe he's testing your will? Time to prove that you can do it, not only to him but yourself as well. Dont count lbs day to day. Your six days post op which means youre probably swollen, bloated, and still retaining water from the anesthesia and countless IVs. Count week to week. So what if you "only" lost 3lbs in a week. Keep that up and a year from now you could lose 150lbs+ (I don't know how much you have to lose but regardless, those are some pretty good #s right there) Keep following the plan and it will come off, I promise! 2. Talk to your surgeon and get their advice. I'm a bypass patient but mine cleared me to start trying at the 1 year mark because I have lost 100% of my excess weight and am eating enough calories and protein to sustain a healthy pregnancy. I recommend highly that you talk to your dr. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using BariatricPal mobile app

    Surgery this Friday!! HELP!

I was thinking about you today! Glad you are doing okay. If you feel you are ready for protein and it's on your plan then go for it. Small sips, the smallest you have ever taken and go slow. Yes, the gas pain is BAD. Walk as much as you can and every day will be better then the last! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using BariatricPal mobile app

    Surgery this Friday!! HELP!

I was knocked out before being wheeled into the operating room. They gave me something to "calm my nerves" and the next thing I knew I was in recovery. It's normal to be scared, but you are working with professionals who do this every day. They will take care of you and when you wake up it will be the start of a new life! I hope you can find some excitement in that! Best of luck to you. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using the BariatricPal App

    Question for women only

It's probably hormones but no harm in going to the doctor. You may go back to normal soon Once I hit the 200lb mark I started getting my period every 28 days. This is after never having a normal cycle in my entire life. I would get it every 3-8 months inconsistently for 23years. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using the BariatricPal App
  7. I lost 100lbs in the first 6 months, then it slowed dramatically. Took me an additional 4 months to lose 24lbs more and then an entire month to lose my last lb. Just hit my goal last weekend in 11 months total Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using the BariatricPal App
  8. I lost about 50% of my hair. It started around month 3 and stopped around month 7. I'm now 11 months post op and it is growing back. Half of my hair is currently 1 inch long, the rest is to my shoulders. Luckily I have curly hair so it blends in pretty well. I expect my hair to be back to normal in about a year. Goal Achieved!

Thank you, but don't be deceived, there is excess skin! Mostly my upper arms, stomach, and upper thighs. It's not horrible and I probably wouldn't consider plastic surgery but I'll never be wearing a bikini. I was obese since age 5 so there's no coming back from 30 years of stretched skin. Im okay with all of this though. I consider it my battle scar, proof I won the fight! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using the BariatricPal App

  19. I had never had a normal cycle from the time I was 12 until 34. I would go anywhere from 2 to 8 months without a period. Two months after my surgery my period started and it has come back every 28 days since, like clockwork! I do have diagnosed PCOS but it was obviously weight related. The difference a year makes...

Well there is nothing to remove because with the bypass they reduce your stomach by 80-90% and that is permanent. I would say I ate between 500-700 calories a day for the first 6 months. Currently I'm eating around 1200 calories a day. I don't worry about my stomach stretching because I don't eat too much food at any one time, probably no more than 1 cup or 3-4 ounces of Protein. I've had to really retrain my brain to understand what "satisfied" is rather than full. Before surgery I would stuff myself to the point of being uncomfortable. Now I eat until satisfied then stop. It took a while to learn that! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using the BariatricPal App
