I had nausea up until recently. My surgery was Feb 22. It finally got better. What kind of issues are you having?

We always intake air when we swallow. Having a smaller pouch, the air takes up more room, causing more burping. As your body gets use to it, it will subside some.

I'm six weeks post op and have had a terrible time. Nausea was making me very emotional. I was unable to drink or eat. But it is slowly getting better. We all heal at different rates.
Hang in there. ️

Ty all for your advice. It turns out part of my intestine is pinched.

Thank you! I at least don't feel like something is wrong. I'm doing my best with liquids, it's just hard when I constantly feel like I want to hurl. I will try harder. Thank you all so much

Oh God... 6 months??? I have Zofran but it doesn't help much. They did the barium swallow. He told me to give it to 6 weeks and then they would do the EGD if it persists.
Thank you

Ok so I'm only 1month out and I get I'm still recovering. But what's with the constant nausea? I went to the dr and they finally checked cuz I'm not siting or drinking (I know that doesn't help) and he said was due to inflammation at connection site of new stomach with intestine. He said was normal healing. Please tell me this sounds normal and that it will stop once I'm healed. I'm losing my mind.

Thank you. I am four weeks out and have felt horrible every day. I thought there was something wrong with me.To all you newbies out there - don't believe all the happy people at a week out. Well you can believe what you want but I believed a little too much. Pre op... Up until the minute of my surgery I had read these forums. 99% of post op patients had what seemed to me, no pain. Like they were up playing baseball on day 2 post op. That wasn't the case for me. I am now almost five months post op and until about my sixth week I had huge regrets! I was week all the time. Exhausted. Depressed. HUNGRY. And on top of all that I only lost 8 lbs in that whole six weeks. It was insane. I literally wished I hadn't had the surgery. After the sixth week I started to feel good. Really good. Now at almost five months out I'm down 77 lbs and I feel like I am a new person. Hang in there. I promise it gets better. Some of us just take longer than others.

This could potentially be very serious. Please go to the Dr or ER.

For in the mean time, try liquid Tylenol. It's helps a bunch with discomfort and pain. I'm so sorry that you are feeling so poorly. I hope this helps

I don't stuff. And I follow what they say I can eat. It just hurts my stomach. Whether I sip or not. It really sucks. Im scared to even drink Water. I mean, I drink it but it hurts like hell. And am I suppose to burp this much still? I know it's only been two weeks and I don't mean to sound defeatist but I started off good. Nothing upset my stomach and then all of a sudden, BAM!
Day 8 and everything turned sour.
That's the reason why I'm starting to get sad.
But, ok. I'll calm down and try not to despair. Ty for responding :-)
