You have a good point. I'm sure the best thing to do would be to avoid alcohol as long as possible or forever, especially if you have an addictive personality. Ha ha ha, that underwear statement kind of crept on on me. Came out of nowhere I've never really felt that full feeling either....since I never really feel hungry, I just eat some pureed food because I know I should so I never really ate until I felt full. Scary stuff.....but mom's coming, that's great!!! I thought the clots were a concern when we were still in the hospital or right when we got home, I didn't even realize they were still a concern once we were out walking and doing regular activities. This might just be the best question I've heard on this app so far lol Giving up my dry red wine was one of my biggest concerns when deciding to have RNY....I'm only a bit over two weeks out from surgery so I haven't had a craving yet.....that's saying a lot since I had wine several nights a week pre-surgery. I'm hoping the craving doesn't come back for about 6 months and then I think I will just be a cheap date from now on. Yes, I received a prescription for 14 prefilled syringes and had to give myself a shot in the stomach once a day. I've been having some great days lately! I had RNY on the 24th, I think I'm down 16lbs. I'm on second week of pureed food. Yes, I'm out of the hospital....still have a brick in me to pass lol. I go in to see the surgeon tomorrow for my checkup and barium swallow...... we will talk about the poop situation also. By far this constipation has been the worst part of this whole thing, everything else has been easy. Well girls I am back in hospital....came into ER yesterday...I can not poop..... worst then having a baby. I won't go into details but after 12 hours in ER I was admitted. I don't have any regrets...We've all had a little issue here or there....this is how my body handles pain meds. I can't wait to get my nectar Protein and try it.
