    March Surgery!

Day 2 and still feeling pretty good! Went for a couple of laps around the nurses station. Still haven't passed gas yet! I can't use GasX strips til after my upper GI. Congrats to you too Mel and thanks for all the good wishes! They helped! Purplej, Long Island

    March Surgery!

Hello all! I had my surgery and so far so good! Not a lot of pain yet. They have me sitting up in a chair. The most discomfort I have is from the gas but then "this too shall pass"! Still in recovery because there are no rooms yet. Oh well.

    March Surgery!

Get GNC Total Lean shakes. The Swiss chocolate is really tasty and only has 6g of carbs and 2g of sugar and 25g of Protein. CVS also has one that is very similar (14 oz.) Your liver will thank you! Purplej, Long Island

    2016 March Sleevers

Any Long Islanders getting sleeved? I'm going in on March 8th with Dr. Barkan at Winthrop University Hospital. He's the same doc that took out my daughter's gallbladder this past summer and she's terrific. I'm SO ready for a change. (BTW I'm in my 50's. Any other older gals getting or got sleeved? March Surgery!

My surgery is scheduled for Tuesday March 8th. I'm on the 13th day of my two week liquid diet. Except for a few days of headaches I'm feeling pretty good. I'm not tired. I'm not hungry. I'm just ready for this. I was supposed to have 1200 calories a day of shakes and Jello and broth and Water. Most days I can barely get 800 in. The shakes were very filling. I'm happy to hear from those of you whose surgeries went well and I wish all the best to those who are about to have the surgery, like me! I only recently found this forum and I'm glad I did. I'll be back for post-surgery tips and hints. Purplej, Long Island
