  4. with that big ole belly gone, I am making progress in my yoga/pilates stretching that astounds me. after 20+ years of using it to combat sciatic nerve pain this is very rewarding

      heidikat72

I hope I reach that point some day! right now - my back still hurts from overextending something monday morning. It's better than yesterday but oi, I hadn't had lower back pain in months and really wishing I could take naproxen right now. Tylenol ain't doing a darn thingl.

You're rock'n your WLS journey! To be able to astound YOURSELF must be so amazing and rewarding. Great job!

  5. 4 hours kayaking down the Duck river with my best friend today is a very good way to burn a vacation day. red as a lobster, all worn out with a happy grin on my face.

Sounds like a perfect day and ya gotta love a river named Duck.

      Christinamo7

it was a wonderful way to spend the day and @Valentina - a year ago I could have done the kayaking part but nothing, I mean NOTHING else. I got up, walked the dog, took the junior to school - packed my snacks, dropped off garbage, loaded and unloaded equipment, carried to the river, kayaked 4 hours, packed everything up, went to dinner, to grocery store, took David to work and picked him up. There is NO way I would have had this kind of stamina pre surgery. I am very thankful.

  6. I don't know that I necessarily thought I was "big boned" or whatever - but it has been a bit of a surprise as the weight comes off to feel how delicate my frame really is underneath all that fluff. feeling pretty girly these days. :-)

"Big-boned" is one of the ways obese people soothe themselves. Big bones are rare; most people have mere bones.

DSW does have some cool.stuff but it is never in my wife's size. She wears either a 5 womens or a 3 girls. For years I've looked for a strapped pair of black heels for her with no luck!

      Christinamo7

@Valentina no aspartame for me. Stevia is the only sugar substitute I use. I'm glad you like it though! I'll figure it out. I may need to change to a different multivitamin with less of the b in it.

  12. I've come to the realization that it's time for new underwear. there's just no more remodeling my old ones. :-) guess there'll be some shopping this weekend.

  16. some time ago I had posted an NSV where a ring my husband gave me on our 10th anniversary finally fit again. Now I can wear it on the right hand. it is a thick ring (a picture in my gallery I think). 6 months ago I couldn't wear it at all. I am so pleased.
