I had a revision from the band to the sleeve on 2/15. Not sure what my weight is now. I am going to try things different this time with the scale. I want to weigh monthly on the 15th. With the band, I weighed morning and night and it was hard on my self esteem when the scale didn't move or moved in the wrong direction. I'm going to put my focus on eating healthy and getting exercise in. Let's hope I can stick to this method.

Flying and no rental car. My stomach turns to bloat city when having a ready made shake. Do you use Water for the Syntrax mix? Do you use a blender cup?

I will be going to travel to Toronto on my 4th week. It's a business trip. What can I bring or what should I look out for to eat for Breakfast. I think I have lunch covered with a tuna making kit. Help....

Thank you. In general, do you know when your swelling started to subside?

I took 2 weeks off. But about after a week you should be fine.

I am just a week and a half since surgery. I had the band did 8 years. Like many, mine did wonderful at 1st but then turned into a nightmare. I got to the point where no food would pass. Now I'm sleeved. And I still feel that same feeling especially trying to get my shakes down. I was told there is swelling where the band was. Has anyone else had this issue?

I had the LapBand in 2004 and did very well. I lost 95 lbs and then 2 years ago problems started happening. I was either too tight or too loose. It's takes maintenance to get to that sweet spot with the band. This year it really started getting bad. I couldn't keep food down. So my surgeon said its time to get it out. I did the sleeve SIPS procedure and so far it's going pretty good. Ultimately it's your choice. Good luck to you.
