  1. Thanks! It's one of the more fascinating side effects - my belly is bigger than the day before surgery. Fortunately I get the reasons, it's just another weird WLS thing Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Liquid diet

My full liquid diet allows these - I don't like them but I'll tell ya, 6 days post-op I'm thinking about getting some just for variety! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. Good morning 9/19ers! It's a big day for me - my first day of full liquids. I can't believe I have survived on IV fluids, drugs, cranberry juice, G2 and Water for the last 6 days. This surgery makes you incredibly strong mentally. I'm sipping a Premier shake and it's going down like wet sand. Fully expect to take 30 minutes to get the whole thing down. Hopefully it's not going to cause any issues. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. I'm a week out from the puréed stage and am excited to add veggies. My plan says "canned, frozen or fresh (cooked tender) and blended". Wondering if anyone has specific faves or recs? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. TMI I know... Sleeved on Monday and I am on Clear liquids only (Water and G2 are all I've had). I'm only taking zofran, chewable Tylenol and Prevacid.?Today I had an incident where I had gas and then felt like there was a problem - and sure enough, I had pooped like a baby! What's happening? Diet

It's great that you are doing so well. However, tortilla chips and all the other stuff you're eating on day 7 is a big problem. Do you have a plan provided by your bariatric team? You really need to follow that. Google what your stomach looks like after being sleeved. It is swollen, stapled and vulnerable. It cannot handle what your giving it and if you've not gotten ill yet, be grateful and go back to full liquids. Bump up Protein intake to stave off these cravings you're having. Good luck. 8. I'm a 9/19-er and am doing ok. Have had some oogy shart situations but suppose that's better than not going at all. My biggest issues are the drain (HATE it), exhaustion and some pain around my incisions. Also I've had quite loud and boisterous belly gas. I was prescribed anti-nausea meds which helped. I haven't needed any oxycodone though. I drink 48+ ounces a day, trying to get better. Walk 3x a day for a total of 45 mins to an hour. Today is my final day of clear liquids and once I add Protein I'm confident I'll start feeling stronger. Tonight I had my first dream about food - chocolate chip waffles and bacon. It was so weird! Not hungry though, just missing the enjoyment of food. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Why am I pooping?

I did hear that, was hoping not to experience it though! Our bodies are weird & wonderful. Right now mines just weird. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  12. Bring less than you think you should. I bought all new pajamas and stuff but I stayed in the Johnny the whole time. I'd wear one of their robes when I walked the halls. I realized I wanted to keep the hospital germs separate from my stuff. I ended up bringing and using phone, charger, toothpaste and toothbrush, hair ties and brush. At the hospital ask for the lemon mouth swabs - those saved me from nausea a few times. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    When does this get better

How are this week's patients feeling today? I am very very tired. Distressed by the drain but starting to get used to it. My external staples hurt today a bit but otherwise the pain has been minimal. I've been taking the anti-nausea and Tylenol and Prevacid but otherwise nothing. Was told to stay off Vitamins for a couple more weeks and am not wearing a belt. Hitting my current goals of walking for 15-20 mins three times a day and drinking 36 oz of G2 and Water. When does this get better

Ok now I have weird squirty #2s - sorry for the TMI. I'm guessing it's from the anesthesia but YUCK Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  15. After being nice and calm, now it's all getting real and I'm losing it. Slept badly last night, can't choke down the Protein shakes anymore and finally the constipation hit today in a big way . Cannot wait until 7:25 tomorrow morning! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    When does this get better

Sorry to hear - I was also sleeved on Monday. Home from the hospital today and I'm feeling ok. However, I just found out I can't get my drain removed until next Weds - I hate that! Good luck to you. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  17. No, I had complications and the surgery was postponed. Still in the hospital Sent from my SM-N910T using the BariatricPal App Oh goodness I'm so sorry! Hope everything gets sorted and they reschedule you soon. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  18. How are all my 9/19 sleevesters doing? I feel surprisingly wonderful. No pain really, more of a soreness as if I took a 8 hour core training class. The dilaudid is making me itchy so I got Benadryl to help. And I've been walking the corridors! So happy I'm in the other side and I can't wait to start this new phase. Ugh

The pre op diet is crazy making! I am also in such a brain fog, find it very difficult to get tasks done. I cry at the drop of a hat. All I can focus on is my vile ketosis breath. Fortunately only two more days of work, then I'm planning on a restful weekend and surgery first thing Monday. We got this! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
