    5 weeks out!

Honestly the first couple of weeks I just tried to drink the shakes and crystal lite to get as much Fluid and Protein as possible. Probably didn't hit the goal of 60+ grams per day. On mushies I ate anything that sounded good. Chilli, retried Beans, bbq beef or chicken that is suuuuper soft. And Protein Bars. I haven't avoided carbs etc. if it sounds goods good and it's soft enough I eat it. I have no problem with sugar etc it appears. Good or bad, this is my journey. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    5 weeks out!

This weekend I attend a wedding with friends. I've been practicing the sudden, head up, blank stare, "I think I'm full" line for the reception Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks for the comments. Don't need the judgements lol. Yes I know I'm supposed to wait bla bla bla. I am curious. Maybe after 6 months it'll be different. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Meat ?

Sleeved 3/29. I've had filet mignon, Popeyes chicken, etc. Popeyes was too greasy. Filet was fine. Be sure to measure your food. I find that the filet (and Popeyes) tastes so good I tend to exceed portions. I'd stay away from sandwich meat. Lots of sodium. And a 2-3 oz filet is cheaper now anyway haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. IMO no. It doesn't get better. It flat out sucks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I'm sure some other docs and nuts have differing opinions. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App All things gummy! They take too long to digest etc. check with your doc.

  11. FYI, sleeved 29th, down 27 lbs total now. My 3rd week post op (now) is supposed to still be liquids. Mushies next week. I may have to start 2 days early haha. I need to chew! But can't complain. I never feel "hungry" just that slight feeling of "I'd like to eat" lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Anyone not telling anyone about their surgery?

Thank you!!! And no kidding. That's the plan! My wife says she can't even begin to say it without laughing hahaha. In my life the only people who would ask are the same people who would yell "tidal wave" when I jumped in the pool last year... So SCREW THEM! They don't deserve the truth!!! I only told my mom, wife, and best friend. Boom! Love love love it!!! So awesome! And yes SCREW THEM!!! I can already tell you are going to do fantastic! When is your surgery date? Im so excited I can't! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Sleeved 3/29/16. One week ago tomorrow. liquid and Protein intake on target. Zero pain from surgery. I felt soooo good on Saturday that I helped coach my sons lacrosse team. Warning: 5 days on your butt followed by 3 hours on your feet results in a sprained ankle! No joke. It's the only thing keeping me from being 100% back to routine.

I'm flat out lying. Honestly. Here's my story. Hypnosis and a little acupuncture. . I'm dead serious. I can sell it. I told my office friends that I had a hiatal hernia repair (which is true) and the doc lectured me about losing weight. So I'm looking for a new approach since dieting never worked. Even found a local hypnosis center who does weight loss to sell it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Side sleepers. Grab an extra pillow and use it to support your stomach. Works great for me. Chest pain after swallowing. Smaller sips and lots of time in between. That pain is the air lock of liquid going in and no room for air to come out due to swelling. It will get better. I can now swallow almost as much as pre op. Today I stood/walked for 3 hours while helping to coach one of my kids lacrosse games. But now my ankle is sore haha. Sleeved in the 28th. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Sorry. 29th lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Surgery tomorrow!?!

We are still swollen. Therefore the air sitting in our stomach etc has to go out when liquid goes in. This is exactly like home house plumbing. Imagine trying to empty a large jug of milk. Pop the top and it lurches out. Make a hole in the top for air to move through and it pours out faster and smoother. Same here. We must eat drink slow to allow for the air and liquid to pass each other in our swollen esophagus stomach etc. as the swelling goes down it gets easier every day. And WALK! sleeping and sitting all day is making recovery longer! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  20. 28th also here. Better today. I can swallow now. Yesterday it was painful. I got my liquids today and most of my Protein. Just a bad headache from zero caffeine! Walking laps in the house. Stomach etc doesn't hurt until I walk awhile. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Surgery tomorrow!?!

No way I can get all the liquids in. For me when I swallow I'm ok until I feel it hit my sleeve or intestines who knows which. But it's about half a second after I swallow. It's keeping me from drinking more. Even tiny sips feel the same just not as painful. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
