    Ugh these protein shakes

Have you tried Premier Protein Shakes pre made? I had the trouble you are having before my surgery and then switched to the Premier and things went ok. Hope you feel better soon. Have you tried different flavors? Wish I could help more. Just hang in there.
  3. I did 2 full weeks of nothing but Premier Shakes everyday. He had me drinking 6-7 a day and then fluids in between. I did it pretty easily staying full on shakes. Still drink them even now. My surgery was 8-29-15. Just had my 6 mos check up. I am having trouble figuring out how to monitor this website but I am trying.

  7. I need to lose about 125 more. That is the total my surgeon & I agreed on. Long haul but will be worth it.

I had to diet for 1yr. before surgery. I was extremely obese. I lost 100lbs. in that year. I don't understand, like you if you have the band why do a diet. Maybe to show total commitment?
  9. I did Premier Protein . they tasted great and I lost over 10 lbs.
  10. I also worried if it would work but it does. I had a 2 week post op on nothing but Protein drinks, before surgery 1 month on Protein drinks. I was much, much heavier than you. Believe me it seemed impossible but it was. I had to lose before we could even do surgery. I was nervous but it is going good. I was really lucky no gas pain and no nausea. Just sip your water and keep hydrated. My surgery was in Aug. and including the year before surgery on a diet given me by my surgeon I have lost 185 lbs. Now that is since I started before the surgery..1 year. It will be fine and you will do great. I'm so happy for you. Try to keep in touch.

    Needing advice

I had my surgery in Aug. and right now I have hit a stall in loss also. I have tried to switch my menu around and hit the Protein drinks. I am unable to do much exercise as I am in a wheelchair. It is discouraging but hang in there you will start to lose again, I'm right there with you, hoping I can jump start my loss again. You can do it and big CONGRATS on your current weight loss already.
  13. you will do great!!!!!! Look ow far you have come already. Good Luck!
  14. I did the Premier Protein Chocolate and still drink it at least once a day if not more. I just figured out how this sites posting works so I hope you don't think I was ignoring you. Your food tastes do change, or I should say mine did. I used to eat a ton of ice, all blood work was fine, no low iron, I used to eat a ton of pepper on everything and now hardly none. Changed from loving home made vegetable soup to eh, it's ok. But you might not do this. It is all individual my doctor told me.I am excited for you, you are already doing it and you will be very happy when it start coming off, which is right away. You are going to do great. My doctor even repaired a huge hiatel hernia I never knew I had and my recovery was still right on schedule. I loved my doctor, in fact I see him this coming Friday for my 6 month check up. I hope he is as pleased as I am. I hope this is helping you.
  15. Good Luck! I felt so much better after losing some.
  16. I did 2 week pre op diet and did it with Premier shakes. I was surprised at how easy it was for me. I was determined to go to surgery. I was lucky, the shakes held me. I was to drink 5-6 a day. I still drink at least one a day with my up cal in it Sometimes I drink more if I get really hungry. Very happy with my results.
  17. I do in a little way like spicy foods where I didn't so much before. But I stay away from the really hot & spicy for fear of really bad heartburn. I haven't had any before and i don't want to start now. I did stall, and in fact I am in one now. I have stayed the same for almost 6 weeks but am fitting into smaller clothes so 'm guessing am losing inches? When I stall I go to a few more shakes a day and increase my veggie intake. I try to stay around 1200 cal. a day. I seem to do very well around that. So, now being stalled I have cut back some to hopefully shock my system. Not easy I do get hungry. But that is when I head for the yogurt, almonds, a few wheat thins, piece or two of Kraft 2% cheese, not individually wrapped, can't stand that stuff it tastes like rubber. I also only eat rye or wheat bread. I won't lie there are some tough days, but you make it through. Or you cheat a little and then go through a huge guilt trip, at least I do and I get mad at myself for doing it. No one is perfect, but you can and will do it.
  18. I drank and still do Premier Protein 30 gr. protein. Tastes very good and you can get it at Sam's. My taste did change. Before surgery I loved chewing ice constantly now not so much. Love vegetable blends, now don't really care for them. Didn't really care for pork chops before surgery now I really like them. It's kind of weird. Little things I always liked now not so much. But then foods I never ate and refused to like Greek Yogurt by Yoplait, I eat like crazy now, only 100 cal and it tastes great. Good for a fill in between meals. I only love the Peach. But in the end it is all worth it. You can do it.....I did and I had a lot of weight on me even after losing 100lbs. before surgery. I have now lost an additional 85 - 100. You can do it

  20. I am 61 yrs. old and had my surgery Aug 30th. I'm 6 mos. out. I was nervous also, almost to tears but yet so excited. They prepped me for surgery and off I went. Woke up, no pain at all, dues to meds, no nausea and luckily no gas pain. I actually felt pretty good and I had a higher BMI than anyone has mentioned. I had to lose 100 lbs. before they would operate. I loved my Doctor and he made it so easy, oh there were bad days, hungry all day but when I did pre op shakes I had no trouble. Premier Protein got me through, also, my iced tea decaf. I was very fortunate I never had pain. Got home and worried about the sipping also, but my husband got me into the habit which they started at the hospital and it was ok. You sound ready to me and are just having normal feelings I had before I went in. You are already doing it. Be proud of yourself.
  21. Don't be nervous. I was too but it all comes together when it is time. I had my procedure last Aug. 30, I am 6 mos. out. I would enjoy talking or answering any questions you may have. Let me know. You're already doing it.!!!
  22. Congratulations! You're doing it!!!! And prayers to your son and family. I am brand new to this site but I had to congratulate you. I know how proud you must be.
