  1. I had surgery on 2/23 and today I feel horrible. Bloating, nauseous, and a lot of abdominal muscle pain. Today I can say I regret what I have done to myself but I know this will pass. Trying to stay positive and focused.

Hang in there, hopefully it will get easier every day. I was only 1 day before you and understand the pain you're speaking of, I did take pain meds in the hospital but not at home. I have not regretted this yet and hopefully I won't. You just had major surgery so please allow yourself some time to heal! Take care! ❤️

  2. Maybe TMI but today has been a terrible day for me. I have had gas pains and terrible gas all day long. My stomach feels swollen and I feel miserable. When I get the pains they feel like contractions they hurt so bad! I am 9 weeks post op, down 54 lbs but really wish I felt better than this. Anyone else???

Just had surgery 2-22. Came home from hospital 2-24. Trying hard to get my Water in but it's difficult. Have some belly tenderness and pain where the cuts were made but not enough that I need pain meds. I am laying on a heating pad and that has helped with gas as well as gas-x. Will be seeing the Dr on 3-8 to remove the staples. Hope you're feeling better soon. If you're not sure you should definitely call your doctor. ????

  3. Good luck to everyone. Is been 4 days since mines, was in a liquid diet since February 3 up to February 17 surgery day , but I was only required 10 days. During the time I went from 256 up to 242 surgery day , just In liquids , now after surgery I'm on another 10 days , ..... So I'm wondering how will I do after my first fill...... Hmmmmm .

Please keep us posted on your status. Hope you're feeling stronger each day. Any advice you could give?

  4. I'm 9 months post-op and it has been by far the BEST decision I've ever made. I haven't regretted it for even 1 day!!! This time last year I felt anxious like you as I'd just received my surgery date of 4/21/15. I encourage you do immerse yourself in every bit of knowledge you can. I went to post-op meetings before surgery and asked questions from those who'd already had surgery. They were a wealth of information. I don't think I could have been more educated prior to surgery and by the time my date arrived I was so excited. I had the nurses that prepped me at mayo, at 5 a.m. laughing and amazed that I was so calm and ready. Also take pictures the day before your surgery. It was really hard for me to do but now I'm so happy I did. When you go through a stall or start feeling down on yourself, just look back at where you started and you'll be so proud. I would have never believed at 54 years old I would have lost 105 lbs. at only 9 months post-op. In my 9 month post-op pic, my jeans are a size S and my top a M. Before surgery I was wearing a 3X. Never again! Best of luck to you and if you have any questions, please feel free to message me.
