  1. I am struggling to get back on track. My surgeon told me in the beginning to stay at 225 but don't go below 219. I have bee. Fluctuating ever since. I got down to 215 and then decided to pull back my exercising and eat more carbs to put on the 4 pounds. When I was attempting to lose the weight I was never able to get beneath 210 before stalling out there.

Now I'm 233.5lbs and have my last appt (month 6 on Monday). I'm so fearful I'll have to start all over. Going back to the gym ASAP. Very upset I stopped weighing myself. I know it's my time of the month now but I don't think it's Water weight. No weight at all! Any suggestions? Maybe I should call my physician now and discuss this with them.

  3. I am in north east Baltimore, and had surgery at GBMC with Dr. Bello in February. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Dovec and Dr. Bello and the whole comprehensive obesity program at GBMC.

I am going to GBMC now. I just had my second visit earlier this month. I also have my psych exam scheduled for May 10. I'm extremely excited

  4. So, today is my second appointment. I am seeing my nutritionist today. And after all that worrying, I ended up losing five pounds since Monday. Now, I'm 222. Sigh. I can't win.

Don't go beneath 219 right? You are 3 lbs above that..still in range. Stay on target...attachicon.gif stayontarget.jpg

  5. My ten year old daughter put herself on a diet because she didn't want to get as big as me. She fears that she will get fat and have issues with her peers. And when people tell her she looks just like me, she gets irritated and disgusted denying their claims. My daughter is very lean and tall. I keep her active and make sure she eats healthy. Currently, she refusing to eat as much (if at all).

That was the final straw for me!

  6. This Friday, April 8, 2016, I have my first appointment with the nutritionist. I'm so nervous and worried about my weight. I'm borderline for the program because I am 5'2 weighting 225 pounds. My surgeon told me to not gain any weight but do not lose more than 6 pounds going beneath 219 pounds. I supplied them with records of my weight loss over the last 5 years.

At my heaviest, I weighed 243.3 pounds. At my lowest, prior to having my gallbladder removed, I weighed 187.2 pounds. I lost a lot of weight dealing with gallstones during my last pregnancy. But, as soon as I was able to keep food down again, I shot up to 225 pounds and I've been here steadily the last 18months.

This has been nerve wrecking. I've already started to remove foods and drinks from my diet and I got down to 220 pounds. Then I went out with friends for a birthday dinner and went back up to 227. Now I'm worried that since I'm two pounds over, I'll have to start my 6 month waiting period all over again.

    Has anyone else experienced this?
