I am just now 8 weeks out and, as Dub said, I remember thinking last week that I was finally feeling more like myself, only much more peaceful. What I began to notice, once I felt some modicum of control with my eating, was how much more room I had in my brain to notice things around me. I spent so much time thinking about eating, actually eating, feeling bad for eating, I really was just existing. It does become easier, but more importantly is all the awesome awareness that comes with it.

I can't emphasize enough the importance of keeping track of your measurements to quiet those stupid scale thoughts! Even when I was in a stall for 3+ weeks, I still lost inches. Even though I do weigh myself once a week, keeping track of measurements every 2-3 weeks is how I track my progress. -

I couldn't wait to have mashed potatoes once my plan allowed. When I did, it was like I had eaten cement. It is one of the only foods I have had issues with. Overall any kind of starch that contains no Fiber does not sit well in my stomach. -

My surgery was on 12/9. SW 285 CW 251. I am pleased with how things are going. I have been in a stall for 3 weeks, but I know this will change. I average between 700-800 calories. I feel very fortunate that I was able to find a Protein powder that I really like so I have a shake every morning. I also use Musclegen- GENEPRO unflavored powder that is 30 gr of protein for 1 tbl! This type actually mixes fine in hot liquids, so I have it in my afternoon coffee. Makes getting my protein in a lot easier! -
Crossing my legs! I went to the theatre last Friday and after 15 min I realized that I had been sitting with my legs crossed. I haven't been able to cross my legs in over 10 years!
