  1. Well this fill seems to be working. I have decent restriction while still being able to swallow. I weighed myself this morning and I am 207.6. I haven't seem that since January!!! I just hope to keep this momentum going!!! Haven't heard from anyone else, I hope that means everyone is doing well.
  2. Well I gained some back (4#'s) but today I went to my Dr and got a fill. 1 cc. I love my Dr --Dr Pirello in Matthews NC. He is the best and always understanding. I go back in 2 months. I hope to give him some good news, make him proud and feel alot better about myself!!! How is everybody else doing?
  3. Awesome for you KimK813!!!! I am hoping to be where you are on 4/13. I had a complete unfill because of problems with my esphogus, then had a 4cc fill and nothing no restriction whatsoever. Going back to the Dr shamefully with my head down and tail between my legs admitting defeat!!! I thought I could do it but messed up. Trying to loose the 50 I gained!
  4. Well I can't believe its been a week since we have all gotten back on track. I hope everyone had a great week and are looking forward to another great one!!! I am finally starting to see the scale move in the right direction. I lost 6.2 lbs. this week (wish I could do that every week). There is really something to be said for writing down what you eat and counting calories!!!
  5. Ok April 14 I go to the Dr. My hubby is banded also and hasn't had a fill in 6 months but he hasn't gained any just stayed the same (men suck LOL!!) so we both go at the same time for the fill so it makes meal planning easy. I also thought about what you said casjosh and I updated my ticker just now. It will help me to see it go down again and it will make me accountable so I will check in to this site again. You have helped so much in just this little exchange. I have a renewed sense that this is going to work again for BOTH of us. We can do this!!!! We can be succesful!!!
  6. Good for you in finding a new Dr. Your old Dr sounds like a jerk!!! You sound like you are on your way. Being back on this site is so rewarding. Just reading what everyone has written makes you realize even more so that this is something for a lifetime not a quick fix. I am making my appt with my dr right now (he is a great Dr just hate disappointing him but by not going I am disappointing myself more if that makes any sense lol) Good luck to you also!!!
  7. P.S.--I am not changing my ticker --just have to live up to it now!!
  8. I wonder how many of us April Bandsters haven't gained some weight back. I thought I was the only one (haven't been on this site in over a year). I had esphogus issues and had to have everything taken out of the band during a extremely stressful time in my life. I have gained about 50 pounds back. Wow just seeing that in print really hits home. I am trying my best to get back on track but feel like such a failure that I am back here fat again. My dr put 4cc's right back in my band once my esphogus was healed and I have no restriction this time where before I had 4 and was throwing up all the time but I was so stressed out that the stress was making me throw up and then my esphogus got messed up which just made me throw up even more. My dr is great but I hate to go back to him like this, guess I should just bite the bullet and go and get some real restriction. Thanks for listening all. Just writing this has been helpful.
  9. Ok oh I will look into that. Thanks. Congrats on getting banded in 13 days. It is the most amazing thing I have ever done and would do it in a heartbeat again. Just listen to your Dr and do what he says and you will be a success story too!!! Good Luck on your journey and NEW LIFE!!!!!!
  10. Are they rubber? Where did you find them? It sounds like a great idea. Thanks
  11. I am almost at the Drs goal weight, 8 more pounds :smile2:!!! I need to get my wedding rings resized. They are at least a size bigger than what they should be. The problem? I don't want to. They remind me of how far I have come when they slide up and down on my finger and fall off when I take laundry out of the washer and dryer. I have grown accustom to always bending my finger so I don't lose them!!! I know I will get them done eventually (it takes 10 days and I also don't want to be without them that long) but has anybody else experienced this?
  12. Hey Julie, I am also in Concord NC. I am starting over myself somewhat. I have lost but for the last 2 months nothing and my gym membership at the Y has gone to waste. I am glad to see you are not giving up. Today is a new day!!!! What Dr do you see? Dr Pirello (mine) just moved to Matthews but I am following him. Will be getting a fill in Feb. I am asking because they have a nutrition program that is awesome.
  13. Absolutley happier. I can move without pain. I can wear whatever I want. I can keep up with my dogs and just about any child. I am almost off all my meds. I eat everything just in small portions. I don't rely on shakes or bars (although I do love some protein bars!!). Occasionally I feel like I am going to throw up but that is only when I eat to fast or I am finding that if I am mad or upset I must eat slower. I wouldn't trade this for anything in the world. For the first time in my life FOREVER thin AND healthy will happen. That is worth everything to me
