Restrictlion, sweet restriction

I had my 4th fill 8 days ago and I think I have FINALLY hit my sweet spot. I simply cannot eat more than about 6 ozs of food without "complications" (as I learned, painfully, yesterday). My only fear is that it will go away like it has in the past. Fingers crossed that I don't loose this loving feeling!

Good luck everyone!

Awesome for you KimK813!!!! I am hoping to be where you are on 4/13. I had a complete unfill because of problems with my esphogus, then had a 4cc fill and nothing no restriction whatsoever. Going back to the Dr shamefully with my head down and tail between my legs admitting defeat!!! I thought I could do it but messed up. Trying to loose the 50 I gained!

I had my last fill in December and I still have that feeling, today I had to force myself to eat around 1:30pm first thing I ate all day!!!!!!!

I have had at least 15 fills split between 2 surgery's & have now for the first time restriction, the bad news is I have 11 1/2 cc's in a 12 cc band so I am about out of fills....has anyone else had this much touble??

Yes me! I'm 9 months out and I'd say I've had 12 fills and 3 unfills. I have an 11cc band. Last time I saw my doctor he took me from 10.8 to 11ccs. After that I couldn't keep saliva down so I went back the next day for an unfill. Took me down to 10cc but along with the 1cc of saline he took out he also took out 2cc of air. Is that normal??!!

Right now I feel some restriction but I can still eat more than I should. Bread, Pasta etc no problem. If I eat properly (i.e. follow the rules) then I'm satisfied for 3 or 4 hours. I guess from that I should be happy, but I want to not be able to eat bread or pasta! Feel like I'm dieting!!

I know, I guess we should be happy nothing gets stuck....but after all the trouble, money, & time I was wanting more from the band. I choose the band because it could be adjusted over time, but no where in the journey did anyone say my adjustments might be all used up before I ever even felt any restriction!!!! I am glad for some restriction, cause finally loosing some weight....just expected there to be more & how will this work over time???? If my stomach continues to strech & I have no more fills???? This is the very frustrating part for me..... I too can eat anything, just not lots of it now.

I am sorry to hear you all have so much fluid in your bands and not much restriction!

I have 2 cc's in my band and have great restriciton. I get really tight around my period and have a really hard time eating, so I couldn't go any more than 2 right now!!! I wish you all the best!
