    4 days post op...

I bought chicken noodle soup and just sipped on the soup did not eat the noodles or chicken or veggies. I didn't start eating until cleared to go on soft foods. I found Starbucks mocha light Frappucino at CVS and would add a scoop of unflavored Genepro to it and sip on that, still drink it for breakfast with a boiled egg

    Pain Scale

The worst is the gas pain so walk
  3. When I spoke with my PCP and told her I decided to go with the sleeve she said if she'd have to do the surgery that's the one she'd choose. She said there has been too many problems with the lap band with slippage so that's what convinced me.
  4. I can't tolerate Chicken wings[emoji22]
  5. You should get a swallow test done. My doctor came in and loved it, he called it a perfect textbook sleeve. Of course I was not eating as much as I should so that's why he was concerned and I even took a picture of it. I too can eat more than I should however when I do I end up sick and throwing up so I really try not too. If I were you I'd go see him and talk to him and ask what he thinks and ask for help. Take care.

    Rough Weekend

Some people say things that hurt but I'm convinced that most don't even realize that their words cut us like a sword:(

What to expect two weeks post op?

I was exhausted and barely getting my fluids in. After surgery I was unable to drink protein shakes, thank god for unflavored Genepro that you can order on Amazon or get at GNC.

    Feeling like a Failure

Go slow, it's better because you'll end up with less loose skin keep walking and maybe go up to 800 calories a day. When I was at 600 calories a day my blood pressure was dangerously low, be careful don't hurt yourself. I was sleeved on March 23rd and have lost 36lbs. At times I've gotten up to 1000 calories a day. I stay between 900 & 1000.
  15. Relax, it'll be over with soon and you'll wake up with a smaller tummy:)

    Family totally against my surgery

You have to do it for you. I called a family meeting and let my children know what I was planning to do and then let them express their thoughts and concerns and even though some were not sure I should do it they all agreed to support me in my decision. No one should use children to hurt you, that's very sad. Sorry

    Wendy's chilli ?

I had some it was okay for me
  18. I'd like to join. My weight this morning was 229lbs.
  19. Genepro is unflavored and saved my life after surgery since I was unable to tolerate any protein shakes after surgery.
  20. Walking really helped me ease discomfort even if you can only make it to the edge of your driveway, walk.
  21. It does get better, sometimes I had to choose between my pain meds or my vitamins. Or between water or food but you live and learn and it will get better.
